Subject: Traitor Guard Stormtroopers Alternatives?

Tough Traitorous Guardsman

I run a Slaaneshi traitor Guard army and have a Slaanesh CSM army too.
I sometimes run lists with Meltacide DS Stormtroopers, and have considered running plasma with a gunslinger sergeant.
Normally I just use my veterans as stand ins, but I would like to have more distinctive models. Whether they are kit-bashes, 3rd party models or counts-as (or some combination of those) doesn't really matter I'm open to suggestions.
Does anybody have any cool ideas, or previous conversions they want to share?

I've made some cultists out of wargames factory great coat troopers. But they require a little bit of conversion/kitbashing to look chaosy and good.(they only have 3 poses for 18 guys ...) But they are very cheap.
Another good way of creating slaaneshi cultist is to use dark eldar wyches as already mentioned and add daemonette bits to them. But you will still need some guns for them.
Those are obviously not finished but you can get a feeling how they would look.

I really like the wych deamonettes, they look really good.
I'm no good at Greenstuff so I'm sure if I had a go they would not look nearly as good.
Does anybody else have any cool chaos stormtroopers?

i've never tried it, but how about WoC warriors? Could you fit guns to them? Give them all a similar helmet like the cadian vox head and strip off the imperial eagle?

That's an interesting idea, I'll have a look at the models and see what I think.
Are there any good conversions of SM scouts to look chaosy? They might work.

Warriors of Chaos models do not have arms like your standard Cadian trooper or Space Marine. Half of their arm is already on the model, you just glue their gloves/hands with weapons/shields on them, so outfitting guns on them would require some work.

Yeah, I just had a good look at models, I'm not sure the WoC Warriors would work too well.
I think at the moment the Wyches with Deamonette bits seem the most interesting.
If I go for that does anyone have suggestions on how to get their arms to hold melta and las guns without looking strange?

King Pyrrhus wrote:If I go for that does anyone have suggestions on how to get their arms to hold melta and las guns without looking strange? This will probably a tricky one. It might work to reposition the pistol arms of the wyches and use the crabclaws to grip under the weapons. But you'd probably have to bent the claws a little. Alternately you could build some wielding their guns onehanded. If you look at the picture i've posted the two in the middle are using their normal weapon arms. I only cut away the weapon and used the wych weapongrip. The way with the least conversion is probably to use guard arms and weapons. (But will result in buying 3 boxes to build troops equivalent of only one ...) But you could also raid bitzshops or go for 3rd party stuff like victoria miniatures for arms and weapons. Oh and another strange option is to build the guns into their arms as if they fused with them. But this would require greenstuff sculpting.
