Hey all,

Basically my ork army is under construction and I am in desperate need of random parts! everything. I sort of just put stuff together until it makes what I want ork style.

My question is: Where is the best place to buy assortments of warhammer/airfix/any kind of modelling parts?

I've looked on ebay but its always so annoying having to outbid people but I will if i have to / its the only way.
Help me dakkadakka! your my only hope.

But the other half of what im looking for is sort of assortments of airbits.
Like:
propeller blades
Wheels
pipes
odd vehicle parts

Just wanting to boost my stock of random bits and bobs

At first there are ebay-shops that sell bitz with fixed prices. So if you know what you want they are probably the way to go. There are also other sites for bitz out there but most of them tend to be out of the interesting parts ... spikeybitz, bits and kits and bitzbox just to name some.

There is also the way of 3rd party producers like kromlech (site seems to be down so link is to their facebook) and spellcrow that sell ork bitz.

But if you really want to have a large box of bits you'll either have to outbid the others on ebay or buy the kits from GW just for spare parts. And im most cases outbidding those guys on ebay on bitz collections is still cheaper than buying the same bitz from a bitzshop. You could also search for already assembled and painted stuff and disassemble them for parts. You can get those cheaper than the original box but you have to disassemble and risk of getting bad glued stuff.

Something else you could do it hit up a local model shop or even discount toy store for scale models of helicopters, cars, etc... In the right scale, propeller blades, wheels and lots of pipes would be easy to obtain for cheaper than GW stuff.

Sheets of plasticard can be cut up for armor plating or depending on your skill levels, the propeller blades themselves.

For pipes, a potentially cheaper option would be stirene rods or the Chemical Plant set from Pegasus Hobbies.

I would also recommend you check those bitz sites for fantasy or shields. Some of them are quite cool!

Good luck!

Again thanks

Yeh ive stumbled across kromlech and such and will definitely be using them. Main problem with them is by the end of it your models have cost a fair bit (but guess thats the way to get interesting models!). Trying to keep the cost of my returning army down so currently doing lots of green stuff work, which is going surprisingly well

Yeh Ebay seems the way. Just been paid so il stop being so tight and flash my cash
