These are incredibly accurate. I am curious - how much do you actually save in terms of dollars per model? I know plasticard isn't super cheap, so iMm wondering if this is a real money saver or just a labor of love. Either way you are quite talented

Wow. Nice scratchbuilds. I have done some of my own so i know how much work those take. And you pulled it off perfectly. On the table you'd have t look twice to see the difference between those and an original model.

But i see no tanktracks. I'd love so see what you plan on those as this is also the area i struggle a bit.

Two minor things though. There are mold lines on the painted dreads. And you might want to look into cheap sandable putties like miliput to fill in the gaps on the edges. This will help to get a cleaner finish.

Keep up the great work.

Plasticard isn't that expensive. Depending on how carefull you cut your pieces and how much layers you use you could probably build around 4 or 5 for the price of 1 original model. With less detailing probably more. The problem is mostly the additional bitz and the time it takes.

Thx for the comments. this is a really hard work, but it worth every second i spent on it.

btldoomhammer , Nice tips... i will keep it in mind.

BrotherVord, this is not expensive as you think... here in my country i found a material called "foamed PVC" (that's the name here), This material cost like 1 Dollar the piece (40x40cm aprox)

so, you can see how cheap it is.

In terms of time, i spent two to four hours a day. The rhino tooks two days, The Land raider (only the construction, painting is something different), a week. so time is relative... hahaha.

i have a lot of more work. i will show you by days,

greets.

Did you find templates or did you just use measurements of all the pieces?

The easiest way I found to do these scratch build is to build a basic shape "skeleton" out of foamboard ( polystyrene for titan sized projects) and then cover the foamboard with cut up cereal boxes or something. That way everything looks flat and clean. So you can save a ton of money when it comes to GW's prices

Indeed, i saved a ton of money,
and yes, sometimes i used termplates i found on internte, but they need some work before start, because they are made for Papercraft, it's not the same building them with plasticard, you must do some maths to recalculate the shapes.
not too difficult.
