Well they said they were going to re do them, looks like they finally did

However besides a few new parts (like a new head here and there, different shields, and some bases), it looks exactly like their old skeleton set which means its going to be hell to put them together.

Was hoping for something a bit more modeling friendly. Unless they did change something that I dont know about

Then again I could be a whiner, has anyone else here have had more success with the wgf skeles? And its not like they're bad quality wise. I think they're great, especially since they're bare bones skeletons without any armor on so they can be used for any type of skeleton. I just HATE the building of them.

They claim its on sale now and that they havent updated the old pics on their site yet

For those who never got the old set, this is what it looked like. A bunch of tiny sprues. Technically I guess it was more annoying to deal with all these tiny sprues

Spoiler:

Agreed, didnt see any difference at all so it looks like its back to good ol snapping the arms in half and haphazardly connecting the feet

Unless they have and I cant tell from these pics

MSRP $20 per box of 30.

Yup

Wargames Factory after their initial sets have all their boxes set at $20 (I'm not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing)

And of course you have your usual discount places. MM ticks off 25% so that means its 50 cents a skele

Heres a size comparison with their old skele I've found. He looks a wee taller but I think his knees arent as bent as his colleagues

those originally released were hopeless. I'd glue an arm on and the head would break off, I'd glue the head back on and the thigh bone would snap. I gave up on them and they will be used for heaps of bones as base decoration.

One thing I hated in the original that I'm curious to know if they fixed was the arms

Arms were ball sockets, the place to put the arms? Almost completely FLAT surface area. I could not get them to look consistently put together

Sure, and I love Mantic skellies, but they're pre-armored. Wargames Factory's skellies are nice unarmored skeletons useful for any occasion

Tis true, while very annoying to put together you can use them for nearly anything if you're tenacious enough (which for the old skeles, I am not)

Someone made some skeleton/zombie samurai with them

Is it just me or is the head a little out of proportion to the body?

I think their fantasy line is a bit heroic scale

Yea same here

> or =$20 for a box of skeletons bitz? ehh not a bad deal

I guess that is the problem of plastic skeletons though. Either

A. Too thick (Old GW)
B. Too thin (WGF, unknown if new ones are better)
C. Already defined genre (New GW and Mantic)

NEWS FLASH

old WGF skeletons are now a clearance item on Miniature Market (unknown at other stores)

Now they're a measly $12. Though they say they only have 11 in stock so I'm wondering if it'll immediately go away once those rune out
