I have two questions that came up in a recent game;

1: Say my C:SM bike squad is joined by a Black Templar Marshal, Does he make them fearless? are they able to use combat tactics at the end of an assault? either taking the Marshal with them, or leaving him alone to continue fighting? This question also applys to a squad of BT with a C:SM IC leading the unit. Is he able to make them use combat tactics? or them make him fearless?

2:My BT termy squad fires with 2 assault cannons and 3 storm bolters at a unit, do they all fire at once or can I choose to fire the AC or SB first? A situation came up where my enemy decided to take all 3 non insta-kill hits on a single 4 wound unit unit and then the last wound he used an insta kill dice.

Thank you

Firing is simultaneous but I thought that the firing player gets to choose the order that the different wound pools are assessed. Also how did he choose to take the hits on the 4 wound model. Was it the closest model?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

You get to chose which order the wounds are allocated, not him, so you could have put the ID wound on someone before the other ones.

1: Any unit with a fearless model is fearless. You can't choose to to use combat tactics if you're fearless. Ref - BRB pg 35, C:SM - pg 51.

2: Firing player decides the order in which wounds are resolved from the wound pool. So, you fire all your weapons, work out how many wounds are in each wound pool, then you tell the player making saves which wound groups to take. So, you can have him take all the storm bolter wounds, or all the assault cannon wounds, then move on to the next wound pool. Ref - BRB pg 15.

Even if they aren't fearless, they aren't a "Space Marine Unit" and so Combat Tactics has no bearing on them, you can't use Space Marine characters to attach to units outside their codex and use Combat Tactics.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
