Ok guys a few questions on magentising cygnar warjack kits.
1) What size magnets would you recommend for the arms of Cygnar warjacks? Specifically the Centurion/Avenger/Hammersmith model if that makes a difference? I'm going to pick it up next week and I want to be able to swap between the different jacks when I need to.
2) What kind of drill do you use to put those magnets in? Are there hand drills that make the holes or do you need a power drill?

I'm not as familiar with the warmachine line, but they're metal right? If you're dealing with metal I would use the largest magnet you can fit into the smallest side of the join. Hopefully the join is 1/4 inch, those will hold almost anything together, use them for dreadnought arms and tank turrets etc.
At that size you've gone beyond pin vises (as far as I've seen at least), so far i've been getting away with a drill bit and hand-turning the bit itself, but I've only had to do plastic. If you have a power drill you may try that. If not, may be easier to find a contraption to hold the 1/4 inch bit instead.

Sorry, these particular jacks are plastic. It is a harder plastic than warhammer models (atleast it seems that way), but nothing like metal. Thanks for your help though.

If you're just dealing with plastic, I think a 3/32" magnet would work, judging by the jacks I've seen. If the joints are big enough, 1/8" magnets should be more than enough for anything Warmachine has to offer. Depth wise, all mine are 1/16"

Yeah, plastic or resin plastic opens up a bit of option. I use the 1/8" for marine arms but they'll hold a fair bit more than that. Seems like the 1/16" depth is fairly common, its what most of mine are too.

I use my Dad's drill + drill bit set. Does the job for the holes.
