Anyone have an educate guess/decent information on the 2nd wave of models released for Daemons? Pics? Source?

I was reading on the net, but most things were said post 2/13. So figuring almost a month later someone would have some kind of update,

I have heard of the following, again just internet rumor, bols, and as few others.

Bloodthirster/named khorne Deamon prince plastic kick
Lord of change/ Fateweaver plastic kit
plastic Khorne hounds
a plastic tzeench flyer ( I find this had to believe since you would think it would of been in the codex, unless its in the GW new flyer book)
plastic furies
Kugarth/ Unclean one plastic kit.

I really hope some of these rumored to be in the 2nd wave are true. New Named Deamon princes please...

But Kinda wondering if this is all just hopeful speculation, As the recent Dark Angels only had 1 wave, and I think Chaos space marines had only 1 wave as well.

Thoughts?

Not sure there will be another wave and as for GW making plastic kits of blood thirster and other greater deamons chances of that are very slim to none since they are out in finecast

if they do make second waves then it will probably be way next year but have found that they tend to leave the range incomplete take the ork codex been out for years and is still missing named character or two

on your list about he most you have a chance with is the furies since they are metal but to behonest they would change them to finecast if anything

New sculpts for the Greater Daemons have allegedly been spotted, so I guess it's but a matter of time. The only models still in FC are the GD's, Fiends, Beasts of Nurgle, and Flesh Hounds. Oh, and Furies, but we don't talk about them. Meaning I wager they split it into 2 waves, 2 GD's and 2 units each. As to when? A week before they get released, if we're lucky.

I hope that there are new sculpts. The bloodthirster and KoS are really not that hot of a sculpt.
The LoC and GUO are still pretty good, but I think they could be made better.

I don't think a model being released in Finecast is a very good predictor of whether or not it will get a plastic kit. Finecast Flamers and Screamers were out for only a few months before both got plastic kits.

I really want a plastic Lord of Change. My finecast one is crippled and unusuable...ugh.

It's just so sad to see those Greater Daemons next to all the new models in every picture from the new release. They still market the things as though they're the centerpieces of the army. At this point... they just clash.

Imagine the looks on all the faces of the kids that decide to make a Daemon army for the first time when they open that Great Unclean One kit to see the Nurglings from the last edition included in the box.

I still love my bull headed KoS. I'm one of the rare few who happen to LOVE that sculpt. I have no issues with it at all. But since I have one already, new plastic would be welcome.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Yeeahhh right.

I hear these are coming hot on the heels of the CSM second wave. You know, the one with all those plastic Thousand Sons, etc..

we do still need ku'gath and skarbrand. i think its crap that we're forced to convert a model just becuase GW cant be bothered to make one. they are great characters with great stories and they deserve proper models.

IIRC, Hastings/Harry have said they're expecting something potentially showing up this summer.

Both have said they've seen the new sculpts and I believe Hastings said his favourite of the 4 is the GUO.
Although the new LoC is said to be the outright tallest of the lot, and even comes with a more 'fishy' looking head option.

Some people would have the opposite view. They relish the opprotunity to make their own Ku'gath and Skarbrand how they envision them looking.

Think at some point there will be a plastic bloodthirster/ skarbrand with plastic lord of change/ kairos and a plastic GUO/ kugath.

What I was surprised about was no special named keeper of secrets as they could have dual kitted a plastic one of those too.

Seems like slaanesh may not get a plastic greater daemon while the others might

I love my giant daemon goat too!

As to models of Special Characters, as a general rule I wish there weren't any Special Characters so at least forcing people to make something interesting to represent them is good in my opinion.

GW have stated that they now plan to have models for every unit in a book available, sooner or later. This makes Skarbrand and Kugath far and away the most likely.

Did GW not say they were scrapping in the whole waves system?

I don't THINK so... I think they said they were going to make an effort to catch up on missing models, and the scrapping of waves was inferred from there. Regardless of whether they said it, the fact that there are still missing/old Daemon models is a testament to waves still existing.
