Spoiler:

So I made this base, and the original intention was to create a bit of nurgle mutation stuff coming out of the ground. Looking at it, though, it's actually positioned such that I can make a big acid wound drip down from his leg and look like it's spilling onto the rock.

My two choices as far as I'm aware are making some GS tentacles to come out of the fissure, or paint it like acid and add a GS wound and drip above it. Thoughts?

Both? Create some nurgly mutations around the fissure that spreads from where the blood blessed by nurgle dripped onto the ground.

Well I certainly can't argue with that logic. Think I might just try both and worst case, I can pick off the less awesome bits before it all hardens up.

Well you could also add more drips behind him as if he had walked and left a trail of mutation.

I added some claw gouges by his rear foot, perhaps recovering from some blow that's just been struck which caused that mess in the first place. Maybe a bit of spatter is in order, though.

Ok, I got it now. I plan on nurgling out his belly a bit, so I can give it a nice gash with some guts showing and dripping down onto the spot below. Also tentacles. Because tentacles.

We'll see how it goes when painting, but the gut wound is like right above the fissure. Should be perfect.
