I have a Kawasaki ER250 B3 scorpion and for some reason i cant insure the bloody thing! Tried every single insurance company I can find an they can't find it on their database, even though my dad an my dad's mate both insured it when they owned it.
So any help?

Hmmm seems a little odd... This bike is also known as the GPZ 250, have you tried insuring it as a GPZ? Also what year is it? It might have changed designation during the lifespan of the model...

Yea, finally found a group that will insure it for £400 third party fire an theft, not too bad for an 18 year old.

It was insured as a Kawasaki T 250 Z scorpion instead, from my understanding the only differences is that the Z is chain drive compared the the ER which is a belt.

Keep an eye on your oil changes.
Or the cam will try to make it's way towards the crank.
Cam runs direct in alloy head, no bearings.

Have been told about the oil on the ER, apparently it goes through it pretty quick.

Another question, I've adjusted the back break but it still seems to be (how can I put this) really bad at slowing me down.
You have to push the pedal down to an uncomfortable position to actually begin breaking, and this is even when (excuse my poor technical knowledge

) I've adjusted the rod connecting the pedal to the break, Thoughts?
