So I'm considering starting an Ogre Kingdoms army but can't really stomach the rank and file Ogres.

They're easily the most cost effective monstrous infantry but ARG, so ugly, static and awkward looking etc.

I did a search of the gallery to find conversions etc, but didn't really see anything inspiring.

Anyone have links to nice looking conversions of these guys? I'd even play them with different models as counts-as, but the other monstrous infantry I like (minotaurs) are way to expensive.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to be starting an Ogre Kingdoms army once the Kings of War ogres are released in a few months.

I too dislike the GW ogre, but the KoW ogres look amazing IMHO.

Oh WOW, those totally went under my radar! They look pretty sweet, guess I'll just wait a few months and see how they turn out

Titan forge has some stuff.

You could make a pirate themed force quite easily with them. Just greenstuff a few pirate hats onto the GW ogres and mix in a few of these beauties and you're good to go.

those titan forge minis are pretty awesome!

I was looking for an alternative to GW maneaters, I might just have found it!

Titanforge is expensive, by which I mean slightly more compared to GW in Euros, in AUD they are actually cheaper, but they are much, much nicer and have a really cool theme going.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Those are cool looking, I'm not really into pirate theme, but they're quality. I love their undead O&G army too.
