Not really wargaming, but related to it.
http://investor.games-workshop.com/2013/03/01/total-voting-rights-18/#more-%27
As at the date of this announcement the Company had 31,730,532 issued ordinary shares of 5 pence each admitted to trading. Each ordinary share carries the right to one vote in relation to all circumstances at general meetings of the Company. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in Treasury.
The above figure may be used by shareholders and others with notification obligations as their denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
That translates to 1,586,526.60 GBP or $2,390,102.32 USD if I'm reading this correctly.
They are also issuing a dividend of .24 pence per share.

I don't see where they are issuing new stock. What am I missing?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

All current shareholders get first right of refusal up to their percentage of ownership. He can opt out but you can't issue shares with the intent to dilute the current ownership.

They're creating new shares that people can buy.

They cheapen the perceived value of the company, so they still have to come from somewhere.

Before everyone gets started on their usual Kirby is an greedy idiot and destroying GW for personal gain rants, read the second line of that announcement:
The above figure may be used by shareholders and others with notification obligations as their denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
This is an announcement of the total current outstanding shares. Not issuing of new shares. Might want to check out the following link:
http://investor.games-workshop.com/category/rns/total-voting-rights/
There were new shares issues, but not on the level people think. Per the earliest notification:
1 Nov 2010
As at the date of this announcement the Company had 31,142,506 issued ordinary shares of 5 pence each admitted to trading.
The number of shares has increased over the last two years by less than 2%.

I'm not seeing a big change in the number of stocks either. I think this is someone misinterpreting a press release.

It's highly likely I am. I poked around for a clearer answer as to what their statement meant, and it seems it may be a lot less than what I originally posted. It seems they issued 270,00 this year. I'm still a little confused as to what their intent is because the wording has a lot of double meaning. I would love to be corrected.

There intent is simply to say how many shares currently exist in the company. They have a legal requirement to issue this at a regular basis (I think every 6 months). This is partly due to the fact that investors have a legal requirement to "come forward" and say they are a major investor if their shares go over a certain %age of the companies total shares (I think it's anything over 8% but as I'm no where near that with any company I invest in I'm not certain)
It should be pointed out that the "Investor relations" site is not a "Press Release" site - if it a place where they can provide all their investors with the information they are required by law - so this wasn't them releasing any new information or making a big announcement.
It's really a bit of a non story.
So essetially it's "The Company currently has xxx number of shares meaning we are worth the stock price multiplied by xxxxx", it's nothing more than this.
As for why the stock price has dropped in the last few days (It's fallen nearly 40p which considering it was £6.60 is not a massive drop) I suspect it has something to do with the new investors who bought up an awful lot of stock recently, no doubt this has caused some of the other major investors to take a closer look and they presumable have decided to drop their investment a little as a result. This of cause is just my opinion and other may disagree. EDIT: and I've just checked and it's up 10p already today.
