I'm going to order one of these from the US - any UK modellers want to come in on the order and split shipping?

Let me give you this tip: Buy the Masq-Mini tool from an EU shop. Same thing (basically), cheaper, lower shipping costs, no customs fees.
Either at PK-PRO (one of the best shops for modellers, anyway) or at MASQ-Mini directly.
If you look for the name, you might even find a UK shop that sells them.
EDIT: An English review here.

Ooh, thank you! I know the GSI one got better reviews in some places, but that price difference is quite lovely... I'm sold. Automatically Appended Next Post: Damn you treslibras - I have ended up buying a load of brass etch bits too!!!

I own the masq-mini one and love it.
But there is one major difference to the tentacle maker. It has no edge that helps you align both sided of the plates like the tentacle maker seems to have. So you have to use another flat surface or be very precise with your hands.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Glad that you like them! I bought several copies of all of their sign sets + 20 of the manhole covers, and they are top quality.
The Juweela sandbags are also a great idea, I hope I can make a review soon.

It is true that there is no ledge on the Masq Mini set but in practice I never had any issue with that. I do have steady hands, however.

OMG WHY DO I NOT HAVE ONE OF THESE!
Just been building up my new and returning ork army and have been banging my head against a brick wall for hours over frickkkin' cables! Literally last night I was trying to come up with a way to make reliably good looking cables, (bending plasticard rod is a nightmare).
I have been sold and I shall have one in the post very shortly! Thank you for the point out!

Yeah. Those are fantastic for creating cables. Before i had mine i actually created wires by twisting a wire around another one. My fingers still hurt thinking about it ...
And here are some more examples to spark the interest in this fantastic tool even more.

I have both(long story) but the one from Green stuff industries is much better and easier to use. Almost all cables comes out perfect with minimal effort.

As a US citizen, you shouldn't be paying VAT -- you may have to order by email, instead of the automated process, to avoid it, however.

AND you are still free to order the Green Stuff Industries Tentacle Maker, instead! No one ever said that it was bad. Just that for someone in Europe, the Masq-Mini tool was cheaper while doing the same job.
(It also came out several months before the Green Industries' one. But, hey, could be "parallel evolution", right? )

If both had the same availability and price i'd probably had the tentacle maker now instead of the masq mini one.
Don't get me wrong, i love the masq-mini tool but the ridge on the tentacle maker makes it probably easier to work with.
With the mask-mini tool you sometimes have to redo your cables if you aligned both sides incorrect.
