Sinister Chaos Marine

Hi guys.
I'm trying to build a Slaanesh worshipping space marine army, and I've run into some difficulty. I have a Daemon prince, but it is the standard model, and he i VERY Khone'ish. I've seen a few Nurglish ones too, but never any Slaaneshi. I want to make a conversion, but the only thing I've found so far is the Keeper of Secrets from Forgeworld, and with her 16 cm she just a bit too big, and frankly, 88£ is a wee bit too much for a model I intend to cut up. I do very much like the looks of her(him?).

Do anyone know where I can find a similar looking model, which isn't quite so big, but still larger than a Daemonette? I'm especially looking for the slender, athletic, semi-naked build, as opposed to the brutish, bulging biceps of Khorne daemons. I know the Keeper of Secrets from Games Workshop is decent for this, but at some point I intend to run an allied Slaanesh Daemon detachment, and I don't want to risk the models being too similar.

I hope some of you can help :-)

So so true. How bout this one http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440026a&prodId=prod1710166a&rootCatGameStyle= he looks pretty slaanesh to me.
Or if you want it to look more slaanesh like and ff you want to use a daemon prince that you can tourney you can cut that thing from the waist up and put it on this http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440179a&prodId=prod340015a&rootCatGameStyle=.
Or if ur on a budget and/or just dont like those models, Hell Dorado it http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/hell-dorado.asp
This site has a bunch of sick models you can use in 40k and in ur instance I think the following would work best.
1) http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/miniatures-detail.asp?ID=36552
2) http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/miniatures-detail.asp?ID=36181
3) http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/miniatures-detail.asp?ID=36346
4) http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/miniatures-detail.asp?ID=35777
The only thing im not sure about are their sizes, but hell thats what googles for right.

Thank you for putting so much effort into the reply, Novelist47 :-)
The first model suffer from the Khorne syndrome, imo. Sure, the colours are Slaaneshi, but the model itself is way too bulky for what I have in mind. Using the Trygon tail and lower waist is already my plan, but regular Daemonette torsos just look silly small when put on it.

The Hell Dorado miniatures are sweet, but only 30 mm scale, so even worse than Daemonettes.

I've considered the torso of a Fiend of Slaanesh, but it's a bit too.. I don't know.. animal-like, I guess.... So I'm hoping something better shows up in this thread :-)

Bit off topic but try doing a WOC Tzeentch army LOL .. I've had to hand cast all the icons for the shields on my 30 warriors in the process of sanding down the undivided icons :3... I hate how all the gw models have 100 icons of them of either khorne or undivided... and if your doing slaneesh or tzeentch you have to remove them all.. wouldnt it be better if they just gove you all the icons and let you apply which one you want>_>

Speaking from having been in similar position, might I suggest a kitbash with something like the talos kit? It carries a sinister stance and plenty of posability while not breaking scale with the regular demon prince kit.

Things I've gotten other players to admit...

Are you referring to the Dark Eldar Talos Pain thing? If so, I like it. If not... I like it anyway :-) A lot of potential in that beast.

I also really like this one. Thanks, guys :-)

I personally love the Ultraforge girl
http://www.ultraforgeminiatures.com/?page_id=51
I own this model and it is VERY slaaneshi. She is taller than my GW DPoN model but only because of her decorative base. excluding the base they are about the same height.

she fits well on a 60 mm base but a 40mm base could work. I think the rocks she is standing on would be just slightly larger than 40mm though.

If you like the twin Death Cult models then you should check out Redbeard's Emperor's Children Army Profile here on Dakka.

I am converting one up at the moment: standard daemon prince torso but using the flying tail parts from a Hive Tyrant, looks pretty serpentine and with DP wings - rather pretty. Stuck on what head to use but so far, so sexy.

Great to see those models amongst other marines for comparison. They are absolutely perfect, and all things considered, pretty cheap too. How would you propose making it look like they're wearing Power Armour, though? :-)

How tall is the Ultraforge Pleasure Daemon? Measured from foot to top of head/horn?

Hmm. Now I suddenly have too many options, and don't know which one to pick. I didn't expect that dilemma :-P

They say roughly 5 inches in height on the site but sadly not if this is to head of wings. And i have seen this image. With the fingers holding the fig you can at least gauge the size of it.

I dont like the sword, so have an idea or two about replacing it with something more slaaheshi. The overall concept i am happy with, just needs some work at some point... once everything else has been finished first.

I like how he's shaping up. As for the sword. Would a wraithlord sword fit? It is long and slim and not as randomly shaped as the one in the DP box.

Or if you feel fancy cut and sand some plasticard into a curved blade. Just a few examples I did for some of my slaanesh boys n girls.

i was thinking some kind of whip, but like the wraithlord sword to be honest.

He is on the back burner atm, i have 5 plague drones to get painted up this month plus a dozen daemons for a tale of X Gamers thing at a local store. He and the nurgle DP are bonus projects i couldnt wait to start on.... currently trying to stop myself doing a Khorne SkullCannon proxy for nurgle using a skaven warmachine... next month perhaps, next month

You can try the Deciever model for the Necrons. He is sleek and slim. I am using him as a Daemon prince of Slaanesh. I replaced his head with a Steed of Slaanesh head and added other bits.

Sorry I have no pics of him, but I will try to show you some.

As i said i have the model and would b happy to provide some measurements

Overall Height, (tabletop to highest point) 5.5 inches ~140 mm
Model Height, (Lowest foot to top of horns) 3.31 Inches ~ 84 mm
To Eye line, ( Lowest foot to eye line) 2.81 Inches ~ 71 mm
Rocks she stands on is aprox 7/8 Inches ~ 22 mm

For comparison Daemon Prince of Nurgle (official GW model)
Overall 3.25 Inches ~ 82 mm
Model 2.75 Inches ~ 70 mm
eye line 2.06 Inches ~ 52 mm

I do not have a Official GW DP model or i would use that for comparison. Not sure if the nurgle one is bigger or smaller than the plastic DP. Anyway she IS larger. and much taller (thanks to rocks and wings) but not enough to say she doesn't fit in the army.
