It seems to be a quite straight forward scheme, but red, yellow, orange and black where they have it and you're done.

Imagine it to be like paint by numbers

Did you want specific details on the colours to use, or something else?

I am trying to decide between that an alaitoc. I like the alaitoc flavour but I do not like the colour scheme :-/

Well, you could always make your own and mix it up a bit by being original. Kaelor is a nice scheme but do you want to live with fluff being written by C.S Goto for your craftworld? Y'know, multilasers and all that.

There is no reason you can't make your own paint scheme that is similar to the one of the original post, but use the Alaitoc flavour for your army lists.

As for making it look good, the only way you will find that out is if you paint a test model and see.
