So I am finding my 35 point list is quite a good reactionary force for most things except for having no real good way of taking out heavy warbeasts.
Any one have any ideas on how to make an Ashlynn Highborn contract more heavy beast killy?

You're going to have to tell us what you are using in your normal list and what you have available to you for us to give you any real help.

The nomad will be your most reliable beater for heavy-on-heavy combat. You may need to assist it with a debuff to kill the target in one tun and ensure it can't fight back.
You could also use melee infantry to kill most enemy heavies. Forge guard and steelhead cav hit hard enough on the charge to topple almost any heavy.
In either case def and arm debuffs from the likes of the buccaneer's net attack or harm from Lady Aiyana's spell can help push average in your favor. Likewise, you may want to soften up especially durable targets with some ranged attacks first. More damage is the best debuff of all.
There is also the colossal. Galleon wrecks things without much help.

Here is what I have now...
35
-Ashlynn d'Elyse
---Vanguard
---Mule
-Dannon Blythe & Bull
-Greygore Boomhowler & Co. (Boomhowler and 5 Grunts)
-Herne & Jonne
-Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios
-Master Gunner Dougal MacNaile
-Professor Victor Pendrake*
-Rutger Shaw
---Talon
-Taryn di la Rovissi
*Just replaced Alten with him
I figured the Nomad made sense...Freebooter too ineffective? Was also looking at the Mangler.
[Tangent] What does friendly models/units refer to? Trying to see if caine2's heightened reflexes can be cast on boomhowlers.

If it just says friendly then it can be cast on any allies. If it says "friendly faction" then it is only units/models from the faction, eg Caine could only use it on Cygnar models.

Thanks Castiel,
Also, looking into the Gallant...replacing the mule and victor with the gallant and harlan.

It's not that the Freebooter is ineffective, per se, it's more that the nautical Jacks are delicate flowers that fall to a stiff breeze.
Also that at 6 points, Reach and a single Open Fist is better than 2 Open Fists and the ability to take damage to go faster.

I can understand that...would the gallant be better for 3 more points?

Dont give up the Mule, its wonderful with ashlynn.
Look into Horgenhold Forge guard.
They will handle warbeasts, if you more ontop of that, look into A&H for dmg buffs.

I LOVE the Mule...been toying with it and Herne and Jonne backed by Dougal as a firebase.
The Dwarves...are rather ugly models and I am a fan of aesthetics.
