So I was just curious what is your favorite factions and why? Personally I like Cygnar an Circle Orboros the best, Cygnar because I love the models, Gun Mages are a awesome concept. And Circle because I love wolves and werewolves. ^_^

I actually like the look of the Trollbloods but I hate the PP skin colour. If the skin was a red, I would have chosen them over my Circle.

Nobody said you couldn't paint them in a different color.


I like Skorne and Menoth the best. I like the Roman/Samurai feel of the Skorne and the crusader feel of Menoth.

I know, it's just that when I first saw them I was like . . . uh . . . then after I got my Circle, I saw what other people did with their Trolls.

Menoth, Everblight and Skorne. I really liked Menoth to start with and they are by far my largest most numerous army. When I eyed Hordes Skorne really stuck out at me and so did Everblight's Thagrosh. I'm rather picky when it comes to my Hordes casters rather than my Menoth casters as I like most of the Menoth stuff.

I love my Khador. Just the thought of the folks like pButcher running around it just makes me smile....

I have thought about second factions. I just cant find something that I love the models and the fluff of yet. Maybe Cryss will do it for me.

Cryx, because of the evil look and feel , as well as the good story, dragonfather and whatnot

Khador: Love the big, heavy, rugged jacks and the casters to match. No nonsense imperial theme too.

Legion: Eyeless abominations spawned from a crafty dragon looking for ways to cheat his near destruction. Love the corruption of other races.

Ret (which has just replaced Cygnar) and Trolls. I just woke up one day after hating on the ret sculpts and thought...I want them. All of them. And Trolls because, well, they are scottish trolls...what's not to love?

The price, other than that nothing.

I started with Menoth.. Bought almost everything..

Then started Mercs with the New Ashlynn Sculpt.. and ive had zero intrest in playing menoth since.

I love the Variety of models in mercs, the hodge podge feel.

I've come to love the reptile qualities of the gators. Truly primitive killers. Lovely.

Convergence of Cyriss. I guess we don't know a whole lot about them yet, but from what we do know, they're friggin' great, and the models we've seen so far are pretty brilliant.

I like retribution because of there battle mages concept, with Rahn being a top mage with 8 focus its icing on the cake. I really like the theme of the army. Now I wish they had mage warjacks, but that will probably never happen.

Cygnar for the fluff, background and gunmages.

Cryx for the playstyle.

Skorne and Menoth for the way they play

Cygnar for their unit / unit styles

I also think Skorne and Menoth have the most beautiful armors

Circle- Werewolves clearly a good thing

Khador- Just cos

I love everything except trolls

Trollbloods for Hordes, and soon to be Convergence of Cyriss for Warmachine

My favorite is retribution, because I 1.) They're elves 2.) I love the "techy" faction in almost everthing and 3.) They are dripping with awesome sauce.

However, the RoS battlebox was not out yet, and I wanted to pick up Warmachine SO badly, so I just got some Khador because their warjack designs are my second favorite, I love their imperialistic ideals, and the icy theme pretty much tops it off also, man-o-wars.

I'm planning on getting into RoS soon now that the BB is out, but I hear from they guys at my FLGS that i'm better off playing Khador. Meh, whatever.

Play that which is fun for you. If you love a faction, you'll be more invested in learning their tactics than in a faction you took just to win, and thus you're more likely to win.

As for me: I like how most of the factions look, the main exception being the Legion--the Nyss and Ogrun just don't do it for me, for whatever reason, though their beasties are neat. I lean toward the aesthetics of Cygnar, hence why they're my first faction. My second faction will be Skorne, because I really like their cyclopes and titans, though the skorne themselves aren't as impressive to me. I definitely plan to pick up Convergence of Cyriss as soon as I can--I like robots, and I like technocultists, and I like Art Deco, so there's really no reason for me not to go for it.

Skorne, everything fights harder if you whip them enough or poke them with pointy sticks.

Cryx and Legion of Everblight for me. I used to have a large Cygnar army, a large Mercenary collection with various armies inside that, and a small Khador force. I played and played all these but never really clicked with them like i did my Cryx so off they went. I wanted a Hordes army so i went with the offspring of Toruk and haven't looked back. I now have loads of dragon related things and i love them

I love the soviet styling of Khador, and the Catholic-esque crusader look of Menoth

Cygnar- the idea of a faction shooting around lightning is fething cool.

Cryx. I love the look/style of most of the models, and love how well they open themselves up for modeling and blending with other styles I enjoy (ie, necrons). Also love their shenanigan based play style with all the tricks and such they can do. Also there's this that originally got me to start the faction;

Khador and Cryx for Warmachine.

Khador because they're friggin' Ruskies.
Cryx because (especially with Denny), it ends up being "Oh you want to do that? Well sorry...you can't!"

For Hordes I like Skorne and Trollbloods, because both have cool aesthetics.
