One of the next unit I'm planing to add to my collection is a squad of assault terminator with TH/SS. I'm building a Salamander chapter army (I have a blog here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/510388.page). I'm thinking of changer their shield, I find them too small. I'd like to have something a bit stronger, more impressive, like you could see them taking cover behind, or at least a bit more "knightly". I tried to look around what kind of shield I could use, but nothing struck me and made me fall in love with

Anyone would have suggestion? I'm not yet fixed on a specific idea, so any suggestions are welcomed.

Unfortunately, most shields I've seen out there are for DA/BT/GK, but you might be into that.

Off the top of my head, Hitech Miniatures, MaxMini, and Anvil Industries have some pretty good shields.

Really, though, your best bet might be Reaper. http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/boneyard In the search on the right, keep "Boneyard" and add "shield."

I'm not too experienced with GW fantasy line but i think that there are some shields on lizardmen models. They might be too small but maybe worth a look.

My paintjob isn't the best, but I love my storm shields on my Salamanders. I used the shields from the Warhammer Fantasy Lizardmen. (The big one on the sergeant is, of course, the Harlequins jetbike hood)

Dunno how they'll look on Termies, mind.

I am currently taking commissions.
