I've been painting for awhile and I can definitely appreciate all the tricks that painters use to better equip their mini artpieces. However, I've been unable to understand what Drakenhoff Nightshade provides for the model. Also, I am unsure of what Guilliman Blue is used for. I always appreciate the feedback of fellow painters.

Thanks for reading!

Drakenhoff darkens blues without changing the shade. It just lloks a darker blue rather than a black-blue.

Guilliman blue makes paint look more blue.

Drakenhof Nightshade is a wash to darken the model. Think Crimson Fists SM or Death Skullz Orks. Guilliman blue is a glaze to brighten the model. Think Tau skin (painted with slightly darker blues though, or hit with DN first) or Dire Avengers Aspect Warriors.
