I'll make this quick, I just wanted to give props to Forgeworld for their excellent customer service. I placed an order with them that shipped early Feb, and it has still not arrived. Here in Afghanistan, mail gets jacked up regularly, and I have guys who haven't received mail that shipped in November and December of 2012. I sent them a quick email seeing what our actions were to fix the situation, and they said they would resend my order free of charge. They didn't have to, since it is not the fault of their staff, but I greatly appreciate their fantastic customer service and willingness to work with me to get me my product. To make it clear, I did not ask, or demand that they resend the order, they volunteered that.
Good job FW!

Let us know once it gets to you! This doesn't really come as a huge shock, since I kind of thought Forgeworld was an affiliate of Games Workshop, and for all the negative feedback they get, GW has some pretty awesome customer service.
Stay safe brother!

forgeworld is games workshop and games workshop is forgeworld.
its funny how no one complains about forgeworld being direct only and charging people out the butt.
but when GW do it, the world is ending.
this is not meant to be GW white knighting, just an observation.

Probably because FW do it with low-volume niche market products that can't plausibly be carried as inventory by every store, while GW does it with important things like DftS that should have been available in every store because accepting less than full retail price means less profit.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

Pretty much this. FW is a boutique retailer. It helps that they show up at GW events with previews and apparently listen to what people want as well as follow their own fascination with the IG.

FW is GW's blue-sky R&D department, basically. No wonder the suits are so keen to drag them back under the managerial umbrella of the Studio.
