Anyone make a dragon conversion for a Helldrake? I really don't like the Gamesworkshop robot turtle with wings. Most Reaper dragons are perched so difficult to make flying like a Helldrake is and not sure on the sizing. The High Elf Dragon might work but looks like it might actually be too long.

i made one out of the dreadlord/dark sorc on a dragon from the Dark Elf line (GW)
i just added choas signia and a flamerin the mouth BOOM done. mines not finished but i have used him and no on esemas to mind(i had to buy aoval base for him thou)

A local here used a plastic fantasy dragon launching off of the Imperial Statue (marine with shield and sword) with a bloodcrusher rider on top.

Zombiedragons are an option. Here is a good example. And it doesn't need that much bitz. And the blog shows the complete building process on the site. http://darkfuturegaming.blogspot.de/2013/02/building-better-heldrake-part-3-giving.html


But you can repose the heldrake so it appears to be more jetlike. (But as you don't like the design itself this might not be an option.)

I stole both ideas on this and it rocks.

Wow that zombie dragon helldrake is incredible.

I'm waiting for a couple of Reaper Bones Kickstarter undead dragons to show up to use as Nurgle Heldrakes, perhaps using pieces from the Chaos dinobot.

Zombie Dragon would certainly be a good starting point also.
