Hey,
being fed up with playing on simple tissue or my kitchen table i´ve decided to build a gaming table. Because this is the first time that i´m getting into such a project i´d like to get some c&c.

The plan is to create a 6x4 table out of 4 parts, so i can transport or store it easier. I focus on a cool looking map with a WWI like trench-fighting theme rather then a perfectly balanced tournament map. I am going to start with just one of the 4 parts to see if i´m not surpassing myself...

For starters some poor mobile phone cam pictures of my current progress:

Here you can see the 4x2 feet long sheet of styrodur. It´s about 3cm thick so i hope ill get to carve some nice trenches into it.
Spoiler:

Here you can see the rough outlines where i cut out the trenches.

Here is my current state. Looks messy but promising too

And a detailed shot of how i´m shaping the wooden trench details:
Spoiler:

Hope you like it

Get it painted up though. It's a scientific fact that unpainted models die quicker than painted one's.

Thx mate

Yeah, that´s gonna be a 40k table. I want to emphasize the siege theme so i want to have a fortress or city or something on the opposite side.
