Update for those of you interested: I have an appointment tomorrow morning with the Valve Seal plant regarding an offer! I've never been called into a meeting for an offer, it's always been offered over the phone. Anyone familiar with this practice?

Good luck!
I'm thinking that "Face to Face" puts more pressure on YOU during a negotiation though.
It is a lot easier to say - "I'm going to have to think about that." over the phone rather than in person.
Still, you know what you're worth (a lot, yes?) and you know what it will take for you to do the job as described, so - stick to your guns!
Unless you really need/want the job - in which case, don't jump too quickly!

Congrats Dave, the other reason why they might bring you in is that uring the interview they might have seen something in you that would be great for another position they have open. It's a lot easier to explain it in person, and possibly walk you around to that workspace to see if your comfortable with it as well.

No, Teo..This is the ONLY position for me, It's IT. They said they have to "define" the position, meaning that I will have additional duties that relate to the production environment as well as the IT stuff. Things such as taking data from the production machines and getting them into a useful format they can use in a Database etc. With only 50+ employees, the IT is sort of part of the Job and the Production is the other part.
@Alph- I do really Want/need the job. How do you NOT jump?
