So Skarbrand is a popular choice in monokhorne armies, I'm not sure why you'd take him when he buffs the enemy too.

Is he a backfield unit, if so, is it worth taking a melee beast at the back of field?

If he's at the front what then?

I don't get it, help me dakka.

He runs in and punches things, making everything around him punch harder which helps a combat army (mono-khorne) as your ineptitude in other phases needs to be balance out by your superiority in CC

Probably best used with high initiative friends such as Seekers and Fiends and Deamonettes, that way you get a crap load of attacks in before the enemy can fight back.
The only thing you then need to worry about is to ensure you are hitting first in combat. The only thing that will prevent you from going first is charging into terrain so perhaps Skull Cannons would be an option to look at.

He has an insane statline and murderizes anything he pleases except TH/SS Terminators (and possibly GK)

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

The only concern is keeping him alive outside of combat so you really need to include distraction elements.

I think a horde list with a fast attachment would work quite well with him.

Possibly something like this:

HQ
Skarbrand 225

Herald of Slaanesh, Steed, Greater Reward, Exalted Locus, 110

Troops
18 Daemonettes 162
18 Daemonettes 162
10 Plague Bearers 90
10 Plague Bearers 90

Elite
8 Fiends 280

Fast
20 Seekers 240
20 Seekers 240

Heavy
2 Skull Cannons 250

1849

He pretty much kills anything he touches due to re-rolls and causing instant death. However, he is a bit slow so that makes him not as dangerous.

I find that the thirster, slarbrand, and crushers work well together the speed of the thirster and crushers keep shooting at skarbrand to a min.

Skarbrand is able to deal large amounts of damage to anything and anyone in his path, and is cheaper than a normal Bloodthirstier. The problem lies with his speed and boasts the enemy as well as you're own troops, so he requires some support.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

I highlighted a big point of this. When your on a point budget, scarbrand can deliver.

If your worried about him being to far away, deepstrike him (off an icon if possible)

He does buff your opponents, but as long as they're not a combat unit then it shouldn't be a huge deal. It's really a net-gain for the Daemons in the end.

Isn't the one with either Fleshbane or Armourbane axes? That alone would put me over the edge. Lots of attacks wounding on a 2+ with rerolls to hit? At WS10? Yes please!

Or, vs a vehicle, less attacks, but Str10, 2D6 armourpen and AP2.

And this ^^.

Keep in mind you are playing an army almost entirely dedicated to CC. It is highly unlikely you will face many opponents that get more of Skarbrand's buffs then the Demons themselves.

That looks like an awesome list.
How do you think He would work deepstiking in the hottest place in the battlefield attached to a lage unit of Beasts of nurgle?

Very rough list above.
It would need changes like adding Blood Crushers for a fast Icon. Probably drop the fiends.

I say Bloodcrushers are no longer worth it. Plague Drones are better Icon moverment now IMO.

Yup, The only purpose of BloodCrushers with Skarbrand is preventing him from scattering so you can place him perfectly to buff your charging units.
