After years of coming up with my own stuff, I am finding that preparing games is taking a little too much of my time. I'm currently doing everything on a virtual tabletop and this increases prep time quite a bit, especially with regard to maps. I've been buying some pdfs to mine for maps, and there's a wealth of stuff out there. Can you guys recommend some good modules from D'n'D to download?
I've got The Caverns of Thracia, The Forge of Fury, The Sunless Citadel, Ptolus, Expedition to Castle Ravenloft and some of the Pathfinder adventure paths. I'm mostly interested in adventures with interesting maps to mine, because I can come up with most of the other stuff myself, but anything particularly good is worth mentioning.

Have you tried the second Ravenloft adventure, I10 The House on Gryphon Hill? It's an awesome sequel to I8.

Er, I guess I just realized you might be talking about the 3.5 book?

Yeah, the 3.5 book part of the Expedition line...

I'm going to suggest the original Rise of the Runelords adventures. It takes place in the Pathfinder world of Golarion, but it was one of their first adventure paths, so everything is written from 3.5 rules, and it runs from 1st level up to 16th level. If you're looking at just running a stand-alone adventure, I would suggest picking up the Skinsaw Murders, which runs from 3rd level to 5th (or so), as that is by far one of my favorite adventures to run, and has a great mix of combat and puzzles

Edit: I know you said you were looking for maps to mine, but the haunted house in the Skinsaw murders is an awesome adventure locale, and has a decent map to boot.

Thanks guys!
Manchu - I run mostly D'n'D but I run 4th edition, pathfinder and 3.5, so I don't mind what I get- second edition stuff can always be easily re-organised to suit 3rd edition needs.
I also run other systems, and anything really good is worth a look, so feel free to suggest anything.

Any yeah, the 3.5 ravenloft is what I have, sadly. I ran my first (and perhaps best) campaign in the Swords and Sorcery ravenloft setting, so I was super excited when they re-started that franchise. Sadly the adventure is a bit lacking, but the maps of castle ravenloft are great.

Most of my experiences are with 3rd and 3.5 DnD, and Pathfinder... It's what I learned on, it's what I love.

I started with GURPs and my second game was In Nomine, but I've done most of my gaming in D'n'D. It's accessible and it's what people expect.

I've you've got Caverns of Thracia, how about Dark Tower, also by Jaquays?

I've read a lot of raves about ASE1, Anomalous Subsurface Environment. It's designed for pre-3rd D&D, but it sounds pretty awesome.

Also heard good things about Matthew Finch's The Spire of Iron and Crystal, and his Tomb of the Iron God.

You could look for someone trying to offload a pile of the old Dungeon magazines, or even look into the new electronic version if you're mostly just looking for maps.

Cheers, I will have a look at Finches stuff. ASE sounds interesting, I'll also look that up.

Jaquays Thracia is pretty damn good, if cheesy in places. From a pure dungeon design perspective it is awesome though. I was put onto it by the Alexandrian's series on open game tables, and I'm trying to put together some resources to make one for Ptolus.
