So I had this idea, WGF rising sun range with Cadian lasguns = unique guard army.

Samurai = guardsmen and other general purpose scrubs (heads on tank commanders)

I like the idea. I would see samurai as a more elite army like marines but they would probably look stunning and unique as a guard army.

And just to fuel your ideas and maybe add some model choises there once where a sci-fi samurai themed army in the oop warzone miniature game. But you can still get some of the minis online. Here for example: http://shop.princeaugust.ie/mishima-mega-corporation/

Those are metal models but they might work for you or even inspire you for additional conversions.
