On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

I have a problem...

Back in 5th edition I got a space wolf grey hunter/bloodclaw kit with all the power weapons and other gubbins. I went crazy with putting them together and ended up with a 500 point vanguard squad..... Now that 6th has rolled around and these have become useless, I decided to make them much more viable

Shade veteran squad. Unit limit: 1 pts cost:130

WS BS S T W I A LD SV
Shade 4 4 4 4 1 4 2 9 3+

Shade sergeant. 5 4 4 4 1 4 2 9 3+

special rules: atsknf, combat squads stubborn, fleet,

wargear: Power armor, Chainsword, Bolt pistol, Frag and krak grenades.

Options: May include up to 5 additional Shades +20 pts per model. Dedicated transport: May take a drop pod, rhino or razorback for regular costs.
wargear options
Spoiler:
The sergeant may replace his bolt pistol and/or chainsword with the following:
Storm bolter +5 pts with hellfire rounds+10 pts
Auxilary grenade launcher +15 pts
Any model may replace his bolt pistol and/or chainsword with the following:

Lightning claw +15 pts

Power sword +15 pts

Power fist +25 Pts

Thunder hammer +30 pts

Cruor pattern shotgun +5 pts

Storm shield +15 pts

Plasma pistol +15 pts

Cruor pattern shotgun stats
Spoiler:

Shot type Range Strength AP Type
Bonecruncher 10" 5 6 Assault 2

Flechette 8" 4 - Assault 3

C&C is welcome!

fluff will come later.

EDIT: Fixed point values of melee weapons.

Why have they become useless? Wolfguard can take all those things.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Why are all the melee weapons 5pts cheaper than they are for everyone else?

I play vanilla marines, I made this homebrew unit to replace vanguard in my games. Vanguard are overpriced for their abilities, so I made this unit to replace them.

Thanks for catching that! I'll make sure to fix it.

Ah, so you want something for nothing. "I think something is overpriced" is not a good reason to invent something new.

hm, in my opinion you're both correct; i agree a new unit shouldn't be made, but i also agree if vanguards for 10-15 points cheaper people wouldn't be trying to come up with new units to replace them

If they were, they would practically be auto-take
