Hi all. This is an Ethereal I kitbashed from an Empire Wizard, a Fire Warrior and the shield generator of a Crisis Suit. I haven't put him in the Showcase as there are aspects of the painting I'm thinking of tidying up (particularly the right shoulder and where his arms go into the sleeves, plus general highlighting of the cloth), but please let me know what you think of the conversion:

Very interesting. I like the holosphere thingy. Also the eyes are really well done.

Thanks! Here's how I did the eyes:

Prime model black
Undercoat face with Astronomican Grey
Paint each eye with Yriel Yellow
Wash each eye with Casandora Yeloow
Realise too much wash is in each eye, panic, dab with corner of piece of kitchen roll to soak up excess wash while wondering if you'll have to strip it and start again
Realise this has had fortunate side effect of leaving Casandora around the edges of the eye and that you should have just put on much less wash, and thinned it, in the first place
Highlight middle of each eye with Yriel Yellow
I suppose you could add a final white highlight too.

That is very, very cool. Simple but clever conversion that looks the business.

@Insaniak: Having visited your blog in the past and seen your conversions I have to say I greatly appreciate the comment.
