A friend of mine noticed recently that the Nemesis Dreadknight (Grey Knights) is a Psyker (ML 1). The Dreadknight has two Psychic Powers. Can he trade one or both from Divination, Pyromancy or Telekinesis, like a Librarian?

Makes sense to me that he should be able to, since he is a psyker, although a lower level than a Librarian. The librarian cannot exchange Hammerhand, according to the FAQ but it doesn´t say anything about Dreadknight

Peace is a lie, there is only passion...and bacon!

If the FAQ doesn't allow him to swap, he can't swap.

No, I wish he could. but he can't. Only Librarians and Inquisitors can take rule book powers.

Not even the Grandmaster can take rule book powers, and he can be Mastery Level 2!

Yup. I have literally never bothered to manifest any of the dreadknight's powers; and i've played with one or more of them in the majority of the games in which i field grey knights. Being able to switch out their powers would be awesome.

Hammerhand is less than useful when they are already strength 10 more or less and I've yet to play demons, let alone those that dark excommunication would have any effect on.

Of course, Dark Excommunication REALLY screws daemons now because just about everything is a Gift.

Is it?, the rewards are rewards, are the benefits from Marks classed as gifts?. Havent seen anything to say what is currently a gift but I didnt play daemons before the new codex so unsure, nor have I played GK;s as daemons ever so really unsure.

Wow, didnt notice that before, so 3 plus save on DP's can be ignored, all weapons will be ignored, luckly the rewards are rewards so they wont be ignored. OP much.

Well, Slaanesh is less screwed with Dark Excommunication as rending is now part of their special rules, before it was a daemonic gift...

And, yeah, per GK FAQ you can't swap for the rulebook powers unless the model is a =][= or a Librarian

Yup, provided whatever it is has more than one wound, lacks the eternal warrior USR, and has a toughness of 6 or greater. Not a huge selection all in told, but it is an additional perk sure.

Not necessarily, depends a lot on circumstances such as wether or not the lord brought some friends along and whose turn it is. (and of course the save is pretty much 50/50 for a knight)

LOL one will not get through much.

Not saying it can't happen, but the chances are small.

Ive seen Mephiston take two wounds off himself before, in a single turn, its just the way the dice roll.

I really dont think hes that much of a threat to be honest. Stay out of the way as long as you can, then hit him bloody hard when he catches you (WS, SW, MSS Lords)

Or

shoot him to bits

Yeah, he'd be much better with a 3++ and/or eternal warrior. That said, I suspect that is probably the point, since other than his lack of an invuln save his statline and abilities are godly.

Like, hmm... Greater Daemons? Only the very things the Dreadknight was created to kill according to the fluff.

As of their more recent codex, yes. When the dreadknight was originally released daemons all had eternal warrior. :
