where in the UK can i get the best deal on buying the x-wing miniatures game and expansion?
i know in the usa the expansions are arround £8 but the shipping is off putting. :(

Wayland maybe or just order from the U.S. Your currency weighs more here and you can get more for cheaper.

Everywhere seems to be horribly out of stock at the moment. I got my initial purchases from Troll Trader, which had the cheapest prices and who delivered next day but they are out of stock right now.
As it is I have been waiting three weeks for Wayland to send my order for a TIE advanced and a Y Wing...

Most key boosters (X and Y Wing, ordinary TIEs) are sold out everywhere til May.
The two large ships (Falcon and Slave 1) are widely available because, as a friend pointed out, they sell in lower numbers as they generally won't sell in multiples.
A wings are pretty easy to track down, TIE Advanced and Interceptors less so.
As for where? I've looked at all the usual suspects, and have struggled to find anywhere with readily available and wide stocks. My main oppo ended up ordering from the states, and the saving on rrp pretty much offset the extra shipping, I have had as much luck with Amazon as anyone.

I get mine from the wargames store, but only because they're local (ish), I'm not sure what their prices are like compared to other retailers in the UK but i think they aren't too far off from wayland games.
