I have never done an army like this before so any advice would be very helpful

1) You can't give a wizard magic armor. So get the 4+ ward, it's as good as it gets.
2) I'd add a BSB with the spider banner, and give 40 of those riders short bows.
3) For variety, I'd add 3 goblin big bosses on gigantic spiders.
It's 81 points a model, but you have T4 3wounds and 3+ armor, along with 3 S5 spear attacks and 3 S4 poison attacks each, and 3 S4 stomps.

It kind of sucks having to make monstrous cav out of characters, but that's what we get for being an early 8th edition book. At any rate, the 21 attacks is pretty decent from the 243 point unit. If you get a sneaky stabbin on them, they chew through infantry.

I'm trying something similar, but can't find a good reason to poor that many pts into the ill Waaugh. I'm also having a hard time tring to find something that can fight or at least kill the enemy.
