I was leafing through an old stack of WD's and came across some photos of the Genestealer Cult army.

That was a cool pic, the limo was sweet and the figs were just outrageous enough to work!!

Im gonna make an army like that.

I know Tyranids arent supposed to ally with anyone, but this would be a campaign specific codex.

Im thinking ill stick to the 40k force org charts and army structures as closely as possible so as to avoid any "beardiness" calls.

Primary detatchment will be I.G.

H.Q.
Primaris Psyker -- Im gonna buff him up and give him the Biomancy and Telepathy charts.
"Broodguard" -- 1st generation hybrids-- treat like ogryns , but as the bodyguard for the Psyker. make out of Tyranid warriors and Ork arms possibly?

Elite
Brutes-- Monsters with bio weapons -- More Warriors with hand to hand weapons
Air support-- Cult pilots -- Thunderbolt fighters

Fast
Rough Riders --Zoats-- Monstous Cavalry with bio weapons
Scout sentinels-- Made out of the bottom tracks from 20mm Russian tanks and topped with sentinel canopies
Valkeryies-- 1/43 police helicopters
Hellhound-- 1/43 Chemical tanker

Troops
Armored platoons -- Use Catachan boys and 1/43 scale Garbage trucks as Chimeras. paint the boys as sanitation workers.

Heavy
Use the Predator chasis and mount the turret towards the back and swap the lascannons for the battlecannon on the russ perhaps?
Flatbed trailers hauling large mortars for the Griffon.

Then we go ahead and make the Tyranid detatchment

Tervigon Troop generator
Mawlock
Ripper swarms

you definitely need genestealers and also the lictors as they are used before and during the initial assault.
Maybe give some of the guardsmen the ability to buy bio-upgrades like scything talons, rending talons, poison and the like. And limit their special weapons instead, as hybrids might have difficulty in getting their mutiple hands on plasma and power weaponry for example.
Maybe also the tyranid prime HQ choice as a nasty genestealer patriarch.
Maybe limit their tanks squadrons of 1-3 to just 1 per heavy support choice?

There are several good genestealer cult fandexes out there, Im sure you can get some good ideas from them. ( or just use one of them)

Really confused as to what you are thinking here. Is this intended as a "counts as" force using Codex IG, or are these just modelling ideas?
