Lesser Daemon of Chaos

I'm trying to do a Malice worshiping Chaos army so instead of using Cult Troops I'm trying to come up with "counts as" units that would represent Malice.

My first thought was how to properly represent a 1000 Sons marine and I came up with the idea of "Ghost Marines" gonna call them Shades of Malice or something... anyway any clue how to do a ghostly unit without the simply white with green ink wash paint scheme..... I was thinking maybe mounting them on short flyer bases without legs then using cotton to simulate fog or smoke where their legs should be.

Any other good tips to make "ghostly" units

painting white and inking them with green/guiliman blue glaze etc then drybrushing white over (while glaze wet) will give you a nice blend/ghost look if you ask me.

you could use green stuff and make "wispy" looking spirit tendril things that meld together with their bodes/connects to bases (like GW mortis engine for VC) ... and just connect those wisps to different spots on marines.. legs melding out of the spirit on some, at the waist on others, chest on others even, could just have balls of energy for some with arms/screaming heads poking out?

just my 2c

Maybe long cloth rags like the GW banshee: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat720006a&prodId=prod1250031a

Or something like this:

You could also try to mount them on sculpted GS flames for legs. Or you could built them so that they come out of walls on the base.
