Brian Blessed, who many of you will know is my spirit animal, is appearing in this kickstarter for Sheherazade. He works like a dog in these things to support the animal shelter he runs from home.

Even a small donation will allow you to own a Brian Blessed ringtone... For that alone I had to pay up!

He is perhaps nature's loudest creature, wielder of the mightiest beard squig and a pillar of what it is to be British.

Never before have I wanted to spend £25 on a ring tone.

I want my phone to announce in Brian Blessed tones

"SAY HAIRY BABOON ONE MORE TIME AND I SHALL HAVE TO GIVE YOU A SPANKING!!"

I think I would die happy.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Blessed will appear on the panel show on Friday, April 12 alongside regular team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton. The remaining two guests have yet to be confirmed.

On returning to the hot seat for the episode, Blessed said: "My favorite TV program with my two favorite presenters. What an honor to be hosting the show again, it will be a joyful reunion."

I really liked his bit where he gave Henry's reply to the Dauphin. This is just epic

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Yep, sending a fully armoured Brian Blessed as an envoy is the equivalent of parking a Baneblade in the the royal court with 'get off my throne or else' painted across the dozer blade.

This is the sort of project that Kickstarter is supposed to be about.

That's like saying that the sun is pretty warm.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Yes x100. Too many kick starters are just "I want other people to fund my next product rather than me taking the risk". This is worthwhile and you get a little cool bonus, not a better product or a pre order. It's a shame I didn't find out about this a week ago as I have no cash, but will be going in for £5 tomorrow.

It's a good cause as well, educational.

You can help it by sharing it on facebook as well.

Excellent, it's only got about a grand left to raise to meet the deadline.

Here's a great clip of BRIAN terrifying the crap out of the ladies on 'Loose Women', the UK's answer to The View...

The video goes wrong at 1.50, precisely as he slams his fists on the desk, the vcr quakes in terror. Perhaps if you watch it too many times, he's charge out of the tv, like in the Ring.

BB was awesome last night! Loved the part about punching Gerry Adams in the Gizzard!!! I don't think anybody in that studio knew how to handle him

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Why would we give a knighthood to a man who has climbed Everest, walked to the North Pole, and is patron of an animal sanctuary. We are far too busy handing them out to the likes of Cherie Blair and ministers sacked from cabinet days before.

Knighting him would simply not be awsome enough for a man of his stature.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Well, obviously I actually want him to assume his full title of God Emperor and lead us to a great crusade across the stars, but the time is not yet right...

...and I've got a suspicion he's actually Russ...
