That tau supporting fire is nasty.. Wheww.. Now tell me if we were doing this correct..
I declare im charging a tau unit 8" away.. A xv8 unit 4" behind the unit chooses to support fire. A xv8 unit is armed with twin linked flamers and burst cannons. Now normally it would not have been able to shoot the flamers normally but under the wall of death rule I think they can as it does not take into account range or even other models that might be in the way..
Is this correct.????

At the moment it is correct, putting a flamer filled crisis team beside a unit getting charged has still got the ability to wound models regardless of range.
Just like when overwatching normally, a load of burner boys are very dangerous since they have flamers . They can wound unit's charging even if they are 12" away and trying for a very lucky charge.

Its correct. You can set up an amusing support commander with a whole bunch of signature systems and 2x tl flamers. He woukd never shoot the flamers, in order to give ignore cover and rerolls, but when charged gives 2d6 hits eith rerolls on the wounds

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
