Interesting one this. I was discussing this with a few friends at my local club and we wondered what is the most popular day to play. It all came about as we were wondering whether a change of day would attract more people to come down on our club night.

We play Tuesday night and it seems a lot of clubs around us do the same, hence, we wondered if a change of day would be good. This is something we will discuss in due course but it got me wondering if there is a best day to play.

What days of the week do you all play? Obviously week days would be nights but weekend days, well, does anyone play during the day then or not?

I can get away with week nights, but the other half would likely not like me playing every weekend, but my gaming friends tend to work shifts so its all over the place for me. The local club however is a Tuesday and seems to suit most people.

Not sure changing your night will make a big change in attendance, unless you grab a few players who would normally be at one of those other local clubs

40k? Saturday.

D&D and other RPGs? Tuesday. We've met 90% of every Tuesday since 2002. We rock.

It would be nice to have a spot do 40k nights twice a week. I hate missing out for weeks on end due to bad timing.

I prefer the middle of the week, either Wednesday or Thursday. Friday or Saturdays are reserved for my RPGs.

My club meets on a Thursday so that's when I tend to have standard 40k games, 1000-2000 pts.

Then me and a couple buddies will often meet on a Sunday and have some massive battles, or a kill team tournament, games of planet strike etc..

Saturday or Sunday. I work a regular 9-5, Monday to Friday job. Evenings I'm at home with my fiancee, usually getting in an hour to paint when she's watching a TV show I don't like.

So I basically only get a chance to play on weekends, and that's still reliant on me having the free time to do it. Generally, I'll get a game in once a month.

Week days is pretty much impossible. Our FLGS close 20:30 tops so there's not enough time when most of us work until 18:00 or later.

Saturday for me. Sunday is usually reserved for pen&paper RPGs

My group has played on Saturday since third edition. Before that I played on a wednesday league day. I prefer Saturday myself.

Local 40k night is Wednesday, so that seals the deal.

However, I prefer Saturdays. I always feel like actually painting/assembling post game, and after a Wednesday night game, there's just not much time for it. An early Saturday game followed by a few hours of solid productivity -->

Our group plays on Saturdays during the day. Sometimes I will play with a friend on Friday night, but a majority of my gaming is on Saturday (which I prefer).

Local store night is Tuesdays for 40k. Sunday is usually 40k, fantasy, and related RPGs and specialist games.

Saturdays tend to be open, but less common than Sunday. Store is moving to a slightly bigger space in a couple weeks so there will be more table space to play on other days!

Sundays here.
Wouldn't have the foggiest what days they play at the local store - as playing in a store is a gaming sin in my book. I'd much rather play in a more civilised arena - privately hired room, alcohol and mandollies (and no-one that isn't "one of us" around).

Can't do that in a store.

Saturday is the most available day for me, but I sometimes play games on Friday.

I play every Friday after work, if I didn't... I'd probably go insane. for RPGs, I play every other Saturday and Sunday, though that will be changing once my gaming group gets out of college for the year (people I had been playing with for 3 years, and then I graduated).

The club where I usually play my games runs on a Tuesday.

I am looking at going to another club which also runs on a Tuesday so I will likely rotate between the 2 clubs.

We play on Wednesdays.

Note, though that we're in the US, we play mostly at member's homes, and we play every-other-week.

Still, it's worked well for us so far, we've been playing on alternating weeks (though for a while it was on Tuesdays) for almost 3 years now. Mid-week evenings have proved to be a good time to get together without interfering with weekends which many members spend with their wives/families/partners.

I work afternoons throughout the week so I can only play on the weekends unless I get days off at work.

Really wish I could play on Tuesday, which is 40k day at my flgs. But such is life.

The local FLGS holds their WFB night on Thursday. There's bout ten regulars, with another dozen who show up irregularly, so one can always get a game in without always playing the same couple opponents all the time.

Any other time is pretty hit or miss, though.

The main night my game club gets together is every Wednesday evening if possible! this is on top of any other times many of us may want to throw dice at each other!

Wednesday and Thursday here. Wife let's me play one game night a week so either of those nights is my night.

Thursdays and Sundays here - I go to one store for various random games (we bounce between 1k and 1850, mostly) on Sundays, and I head to another on Thursdays for a more formal 2k league.

I either play on thursday evening or saturday afternoon, wish i could do it every week though but dont have the time

Always Wednesday for me. Good way to break up the week
