I got the Khorne Cannon built and was looking at the kit. There is a pretty big Herald model in it. I decided to build it. I had an issue. Its way to big to fit on a 25mm base.

Do you foresee any rules issues with this guy on a 40mm base? I stuck him on one and he looks proportional to the base. He's terminator sized. I don't see it being modeling for an advantage as my opponent can get more models in base with him on the larger base. Although the same can be said for him....

Generally, so long as the base looks right for the model, most players won't care.

Forge World's Herald of Khorne that comes with it's Khorne Daemon Prince comes supplied with a 40mm base so I'd say it was acceptable.

There was a thread around here related to this....

This is the direct link to the blog: http://blog.spikeybits.com/2013/04/cheap-n-easy-herald-of-khorne-conversion.html

there ya go.

Regarding the base size there was an old rule stating that the bases could be bigger than the ones it came with but not smaller, i think that one is long gone, still, for the sake of making an awesome base/conversion many people will let it pass

Skulltaker is a Herald of Khorne, and he comes on a 40mm base.

Epidemius actually comes with a 60mm base, he would not fit on a 40mm probably.
