The good people of Dakkadakka have always given me good advice and I'm seeking any comments and such again on my current tactical marine. I know he doesnt have his gun on, but I generally paint that last.

From what I can see it looks pretty good. Sadly there are a few mold lines that were missed. But that happens to the best of us.

He looks decent. I'm not a fan of the dark greens but that is more of a personal preference and has nothing to do with your model.

He looks a little bit "too green" though. He misses some different spots of color adding more contrast to him. But this might change depending on the color of his weapon.

What you could try is add another thin edge highlight on him with a lighter green. Also adding another smaller spot in his lenses with a lighter red or even orange would give his face more feature.
Also you could try to pick out his belt with a lighter brown to give him another spot of color that isn't dark green.

And also moldlines. There are still some moldlines on him like on his pouch and the backpack exhausts. And his shoulder guard might have needed a little bit of additional sanding to get is smoother.

I think when the bolter is attached it will get rid of the too green effect. The bolt is going to be mephiston red with evil sunz scarlet. Them moldlines will be the death of me and I didn't have plastic cutters when I took him off the sprue so I goofed on his shoulders. But Im glad you noticed because now I can see that he will need some work on those to look right.

The red bolter will add a nice spot of color to him. And i don't think that on the table the shoulders are that much of a problem. It's just that the pictures show those small flaws without mercy. And on top of that i tend to be a perfectionist and always look after flaws and not after stuff that turned out good.

And i know the moldline problem. Because of that i'll always follow the moldline around the pieces and scrap it off. And then i look around another time if i've mist something.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

I would paint the shoulder pad lining, otherwise, it's great!

Give his chest wings a thin dry brush of mithril silver, and then a sepia wash. Even if the bolter will hide all the work anyway, you'll know its there.

And that's what is important.
