Nintendo announced today, in a Nintendo Direct session, The newest hand-held installment to the series. Its said to be a sequel to A Link to the Past, it remains to be seen weather it will be a direct sequel (same link) or an new one set in the same-ish time and setting.
Video is insanely quiet for some reason.
The Drawing mode has me kind of iffy but It won't stop me from getting the game, and for all I know it may even lead to some really good puzzles.
Anyone else here interested?

I have abit of that feeling too, I know I'll end up getting it, my main concern is how prevalent these "bouncy-spring-faces" are. Other than that and the sort of iffy-ness on the "Drawing mode" I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Care to go more in depth Manchu?

I'm a fan of the Link to the Past aesthetic and dungeon mechanics making a return.
Not too sure about those trampoline things and the Paper Mario elements.

Awesome. I adore The Legend of Zelda, consider me interested.

I'm excited to see Nintendo do something new with LoZ given we know a new installment for WiiU is a long way off. But this doesn't feel new. And it doesn't feel nostalgic. It just feels sort of outmoded, which is bad seeing as how it hasn't even come out yet.
Same here, considering that so far, ANY 3D aspect of a game gives me a headache, regardless of how well its done. So even with that mechanic, I wont have the 3D turned on.
Well I'm feeling a little better. Everything we saw in the video strikes me as being of mock up for the sake of that video and the demo they released.
A few reviewers who have gotten to play it said the demo consisted of a dungeon that last approx. 10 mins. That to me feels more like there just showcasing some of the *shineys*. So with any luck the hammer wont be swinging all the time.
On another note I saw someone use it as a weapon and it worked fairly well so at least it'll have some other applications other than demolishing laughing pop up faces

Wish it wasn't for 3ds, handhelds give me horrible neck cramps.
Would have maybe purchased a Wii U if this was going to be on it, and be as good as LTTP (although, I have my doubts); but alas nothing yet has me tempted enough to get one.
I know Ill end up buying a WiiU, possibly next tax season unless something happens before then But yea, I dont even touch my 3DS anymore, my kids play on it and its mostly to build a fort and watch netflix on it. I mean, they even took FlipNotes off te 3DS which I thought was a very weird thing to do.
This actually looks pretty cool to me! This is 3d being done well to give designers the potential for sprawling, intricate levels and some potentially mind numbing puzzles, I won't be getting it unless I win a 3DS somewhere but it's still nifty.
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
Yeah they seem to be treating it as "stamina" bar more this time then magic. which is a refreshing take on it.
WARNING TAKE YOUR SALT:
Also to those of you that have and/or plan to have a wiiU I've seen rumors around that Nintendo's debating making a hook-in add on that lets you play 3DS games on the big screen, sounds like wish listing to me... but who knows?

Yea well.....Ill beleive that when I see it. Nintendo themselves have said before the WiiU launch, that down the road they WILL be incorporating the 3DS into the WiiU in new and awesome ways. So that would be possible. But again, my problem with Nintendo is they come up with some really great ideas, that never seem to get off the ground. *cough coughARCARDScoughcough*
Well I was thinking they could of incorporated those into some kind of cool game. Or maybe not even those, but possibly real world things. Imagine a really deep mystery type game where you get clues and such from a card, that leads you to another clue and so on. I mean, they really could of gone bananas with that tech....but instead its used to show MArio or Samus in 3d.............
I do suppose that's true, I enjoyed the mini-games with it, but you are right. It could have been so much more.
Nintendo's confirming that a light and dark world are going to be in the game.. I'm starting to think its going to be a prequel. Only reason I could see the Dark World still being around. Would also explain the Master Sword being used.
