With the announcement of Censure, I began to wonder. What other stories/audio dramas focus on a Space Marine and Imperial Guard/PDF dynamic. I am really interested in reading stories like this. Does dakka have any recommendations on what to read or avoid n such?

Cadian Blood by ADB has a bit of IG/SM interaction, though not a ton. Also, Helsreach.

One of the latter Gaunt's Ghosts stories - #32 or some such - involves IG and SM working together, though it's a tad on the, "Eh, this seems like fanwank," side.

'The Emperors Finest', which is a Ciaphas Cain book, has him attached to a space marine chapter.

Although, its just him and Jurgen, so not a huge amount of guard/marine interaction, but there's a bit there...

I seem to remember there being a fair bit of interaction between Astartes and IG in 'Savage Scars', which is a White Scars book. I also seem to remember it being pretty bad though, so meh...

In "Xenos" from Eisenhorn trilogy a dearhwatch kill team supports imperial guard during an invasion. In "Malleus" there are some more sm, but they don't take part in key events.

the dawn of war games feature a lot of crossover between Guard and Marines. Brom's guardsmen aid the Blood Ravens on Tartarus, the Cadian 412th fought alongside the Ultramarines on Lorn V, and the 85th Vendoland aided the blood ravens during the Tyranid invasion.

Think of something clever to say.

Salvations Reach is cool, three Space Marines help Gaunt out and come along for the mission.

Its also a DA book, so its actually good as a whole, and not just because its BL.

Seriously, check all his books out, he is their number one writer by a country mile, ADB is decent, but he pales into nothingness in the shadow of Abnett.

And lets not even mention almost all of the rest of them.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Rynns world has a lot of marine pdf interations. Actually in my opinion it's kind of rare to find one without the other. Either the marines are killing them or fighting with them, although there are exceptions. And if you're looking for a chaos marine/ sort of guard book check out the the siege of castellax it has iron warriors fighting orks. There's not alot of the iron warriors so they rely on their own guard/slave regiements.

I particularly appreciated Winter Assault because it broke up the standard GW story of "Guard gets in too deep and the Space Marines come and save them while posing heroically" by having the Guard actually save the Ultramarines.

The last GG book (Salvation's Reach)has 3 Space Marines joining the Ghosts
Traitor General has CSM in it as well

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

Helsreach was good. Just finished Wrath of Iron, had a good deal of IG vs SM politics involved. Those are the only two I can think of right now though ><

Salvation's Reach was the one I was thinking of.

I wasn't a fan. It was a bit too Movie Marinish.
