So i want to convert the death korps infantry into boltgun carrying acolytes (love the model and would totally look badass with grey knights) my problem is ive never actually seen the model first hand (only pictures on the internet).

My question is of the 3 sets of models available on forgeworld (grenaders, at ease, and advancing) what would be the easiest to change up the lasgun to a bolter and make it look realistic?

Im asking because on some of the models, the lasgun forehand looks like its part of the lasgun and so if I put a boltgun on them they'd be one handed. Anyway thanks in advance whoever decides to tackle this question

None of them will really work. Most of the hands are molded onto the gun, on all the various squads. There are some that aren't (for example, plasma guns have the gun in one arm and a complete left arm/hand that wraps around it), but it's going to be extremely expensive to buy entire squads for the 1-2 models that are appropriate for your conversion.

Oh, and DKoK are true 28mm scale, which means that you may or may not be able to fit plastic boltguns (which are 'heroic' 28mm scale and way too big) on the models.

There's some third parties that make gas mask heads. I'd look into those first.

It CAN be done if you happen to use bolt pistols & carve them & the lasguns up to make a vostroyan-esque boltgun.
