Despite the fact that Martial Law was called for Boston during the five day search, with police going door to door and searching houses. Seriously, what the heck?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they caught the guy, but Martial Law, for a Suspected bomber just doesn't sit well with me. Tell me I'm crazy please.

Well wasn't the martial law just as much for the fact he was part of a pair who arced up on your police and killed one as well as used some bombs during that fight?

Martial law to search an area for a suspected bomber might make some people uncomfortable, but martial law to catch a guy who is definitely in the area who has just had a massive shoot out with police, killing one, and is clearly a danger to people around him? I doubt people are going to have as much trouble with that.

From what I could tell, martial law was only in effect yesterday, following the shootout, and was largely restricted to a specific area in and around the police quarantine. Hardly a matter of "instituting martial law to search for a suspected bomber," except from the most deceptive rhetorical standpoint.

WE don't need another thread on this topic, do we?
