We are very pleased to release our latest models, and the first 28mm models we have released in a while, the 28mm Federal Army.  These are 28mm versions of our extremely popular 15mm Federal Army range.

This first release has infantry as well as vehicles -- the vehicles are entirely resin, the infantry are all one piece pewter castings.  Our goal was to provide infantry with both the recession-busting price of plastics (about $1.30 a figure) and the strength, heft and ease of one-piece pewter pieces, and we hope you like the results.

The Federal Army is the largest military force in the Federation.  Federal Army Heavy Infantry wear extensive carapace protection and carry a variety of weapons, most common being the pulse rifle.  One soldier in each fireteam will usually have a plasma grenade launcher attached to his rifle as well.  The 28mm Federal Army Rifle Set has nine unique poses -- a squad leader, two team leaders, two riflemen with grenade attachment (these are the five poses to the left in the above image), and four riflemen.

Fire teams often have one or two squad rapidfire riflemen with the larger and much more powerful, but heavier, rapidfire pulser.  The 28mm Federal Army Squad Rapidfire Weapons Set has four models in four unique poses.

Attached at higher level are infantry heavy weapons -- the 28mm Federal Army Heavy Weapons Set has a missile team of loader and missileman, a plasma gunner, and a marksman with heavy anti-material rifle.

The model of the Polecat Armoured Command/Utility Vehicle is approximately 102mm long and comes with a missile launcher which may be swapped with the rotary gun turret -- it's not shown here but is identical to that on the 15mm vehicle.

The model of the massive Caiman Heavy APC is approximately 190mm long and has an adjustable starboard door.  This massive, heavily armed and armoured vehicle can carry a reinforced squad directly into the centre of the battlefield, then support them on to victory.

As were their 15mm versions, the 28mm infantry were sculpted by Mike Broadbent.  The vehicles (and the infantry shown with the vehicles for comparison) were painted by dwartist and the infantry in the standalone photos were painted by Chris Yaro.

Available now, at the link below.

Federal Army Infantry with tripod mounted heavy weapons will be a future release -- they are already well underway.  If this line proves popular we will certainly release more of our 15mm vehicles in 28mm scale.  Happy gaming!

Yep, thanks to help from the sculptor and caster I've been able to price these competitively with the new plastic sets coming out.

Excellent figures. I don't have a need for them at this very moment, but I'll be making a point to find one soon.

I'm very impressed with both the quality of the models and the price! I see resin vehicle kits that size go for 2-3 times the price, and they aren't always more detailed! I'm kind of flush with sci-fi models right now, but I can't say I'm not tempted to at least pick up that APC!

I hate to be the first person to gripe, but prepare for inbound belly aching: Would it possible for future sets to have seperate heads? I mean, these are incredible looking, but an easy way to incorporate them into any human sci fi army is to give the ability to put a head on similar to whatever you currently have. I understand, of course, that these models are intended for a specific rule set, but they are fantastic models that would make great Space Marine Scouts as well as veterans or even bone stock infantry for the Imperial Guard. That having been said, I'm already looking for some excuse to use them as they are brilliant looking, but I'll have to figure out how to chop their heads. And allow me to be amongst the many to say that I can't believe the pricing. They are fantastic looking and I feel like many would pay far more than you are asking for them, myself included. Outstanding work.

It's an ugly planet. A bug planet.

Whoa... that polecat (the smaller vehicle) is very, very nice. And the infantry are extremely solid for the price.

Not sure where you get the 'specific rule set' thing. I am pretty sure Khurasan is a rules agnostic figure producer.

Wonderful stuff. There is a big downside to them being one piece models with today's emphasis on seperate heads and weapons, but seriously, for the cost these are totally worth it.

The vehicles are awesome too.

Not quite - I've been waiting a long time for these vehicles to appear in 28mm scale!

I even e-mailed them a while back and was told 'soon' - I'm glad that 'soon' is now.. now!

The following 15mm vehicles might also be interesting to 28mm gamers (although they are not that cheap):

(Earth caste transporter? a bit small but might still work, wing span 170mm):

and this one (Dreadknight sized, 19.99$):

Really well done!
The figs look nice and will surely find a home in many armies. Asside from Denizen Ventaurans, Khiff and Federals (which are true-scale 27mm, and much smaller) I can't recall seeing any metal sci-fi troopers at this level of quality for this price. The not-Aliens APC is a beauty also. May have to pick up a couple...

Anyway we could see the Federals next to a ruler or other companies miniatures?

I'd much rather have integral heads at a lower price.

Still, if you want a head swap, these are probably some of the easiest figs out there to do a head removal and swap. Take a look at the necks which are nearly all exposed and not hunched down into shoulder pads like many other brands. A couple swipes with a razor saw and a bit of filing and you're ready for a new head!

Just ordered a bunch; when I get them I can do scale comparison shots with Copplestone, Defiance, Pig Iron, and Urban War Viridians (as those all comprise the bulk of my 28mm near-future troops)

That would be great! I'm familiar (or have figs) from all those ranges, so they would be great for comparisons.

It'd probably look like a Fighter in 28mm. It'd probably be much better in 28mm with the "belly fill in" than the crate transport.

I imagine it'd look pretty cool.

Didn't notice the belly fill in. Should work as an alternative Razorshark then.
