Anyone used them in the last 6 months? Thier prices are quite enticing...

I have used them probably 10 times for WM/H. Every time I have ordered I have received my stuff in about 4 days, and it has been well packed. One note with Miniature Market is that if one of the items you ordered is not in stock they will hold the entire order before shipping it out.

However I have recently moved over to discountgamesinc.com for the simple reason that they are just about equal in price but they offer free shipping in the states at $50 vs $99.

Discountgamesinc.com has been great as well. He ships fast and well packed. He has a bit more of an issue with keeping hot items in stock but it hasn't been a huge issue. Also as a side note they are the guys that do the Chain-Attack pod cast.

Customer communication/service at Miniature Market is pretty bad, based on my experiences, but yes the prices are lower than most (or all now?) of their competition, especially when you pass the free shipping threshold, and unlike some of their competitors they still sell Finecast (which some may want, others not) and lots of non-GW items. I used to use Dicebucket, who were really pretty good, but they offer less of a discount than they used to (plus don't, I think, stock non-GW paints and miniatures), so I've been looking for reliable alternatives.

Honestly aside from Dicebucket, I've not had a 'perfect' ordering experience with any online retailer, so I've been ordering from different ones to try and find a new place to make my main buying point. (I don't play at or really have a FLGS.) So, I may go back to Dicebucket for GW stuff (20% off RRP now).

I'm not sure of other US online retailers who still offer 25% RRP (I know Frontline Gaming do, for pre-orders of new releases, but not on regular stock).

I've ordered from MM a few times and haven't had any problems. I prefer ordering from The Warstore, mainly because they're closer to me and I tend to get my stuff 1-2 days after shipping, but I'll usually price compare against MM. If it'll be an order over $100, I tend to want to go with MM just to save the money on shipping. (Plus larger orders like that are usually ones I don't mind waiting a little longer for. If I'm out of paint, I want it ASAP.)

well I'd be buying War games factory stuff. At 15 bucks versus 20, a steady 25% savings would be nice with MM

Used MiniMarket twice so far. Both times I got my items within a week, and with everything expected. My only issue at all was being unable to order the new Tau through them, but considering the back order issues that hardly seems like it's a black mark for them. At the very least, they didn't take my cash and then sit on the order for a month or more. I'd honestly recommend them over any other site right now, simply due to no shipping and increased discount.

I use Miniature Market constantly, being in IL I typically get my stuff in one business day from the time I recieve the shipping notice. (St Louis is basically on the border of IL so it's fast)

The only delay I've ever had was with the Tau release but that's GW's. They told me right upfront that there'd be delays with that particular order so I didn't get upset at all.

Their communication is great and they've delivered nothing but ace service.

Perhaps my poor experiences were isolated, then--two queries and one order with terrible communication.

DId you place the orders via phone or internet?

Whenever I've ordered from them via phone I was always made aware of any stock issues as they check inventory while placing the order.

I've yet to have any issues with internet orders and in my experiences are prompt to get confirmation receipts and shipping notices emailed out. I tend to order towards the wekeends so sometimes it might take a couple days before I get notice that an order is completely processed and shipped but the emails always seem to come in quickly based on what stage of completion they are at.

I've only had one problem with MM in several years - my fiancee called to order some Warhammer TK stuff for my birthday and the guy was so rude to her that it almost made her cry, so she got off the phone. I emailed them and their manager got back to me, apologized, gave the direct number to him, she called again, and he was super nice and gave a "we're sorry" discount on top of their 25% off. So a thumbs down became a two thumbs up.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

I used them last month. Other than them selling out of a few things I wanted before I could order I have no complaints.

With a place like MiniMarket, stock is rarely an issue. They have a physical store attached to a HUGE warehouse. The quantity of items they carry is crazy, and their discounts can get equally crazy. I've seen items in excess of 50% off, as they often buy out huge quantities of items from wholesalers. Check out their clearance section for examples.
Like Paulson, I've been most impressed when working with them via the phone. The internet is a relatively anonymous place with a lot of things "just getting done." I find their online ordering to be the same, as it is with most e-tailers.
I have never had a bad experience, though, and phone service has always been exemplary.
In addition, I'm in the St. Louis area. In the middle of the Christmas Season, I ordered an item online, to be picked up in person, and it was ready to be picked up almost immediately (with a warehouse & the quantity of business they do -especially @ Christmas, that can be harder to do than you might think).

I have used MM several times, even had relatives use them for gifts, and they have been great.

I have never had a problem with communication with them.

One time there was a problem with my Paypal account not communicating with my checking account and MM prematuraly sent the items I ordered. They were cool about it and said that until I paid them for the stuff they sent, I couldn't order from them again. I got the issue corrected on my end and sent them the money and they unfroze my account. They were not jerks about it, they just said it very matter of factly and polite.

They do ship fast as I explained above.

I like their prices as well.

Probably work

They're about 5 minutes from work for me, so I have little experience ordering from them online, though I know at least one DCM had some issues a few months back about never receiving his copy of Only War. His was an international order too, so that may have something to do with it.

That being said, I've heard other people say good things about them.

The only problem I've had out of the numerous times I've ordered from them was when I moved in January and I tried to have a pre-order re-routed. Despite calling twice(once before the move two weeks before shipping and once the day BEFORE the shipped it), it still got sent to my old address. Luckily my tenants were accommodating and had it sent on.

Other than that, great service, always receive it in 2 days.
