So since the FAQ it's suddenly become almost I feasible to twin link your weapons on crisis suits in favour of more shots.
My discussion is two fold.
Why has TL become a problem?
Not twin linking is often way more points. Where as twin linking increases the chances of hitting your target and allows your unit to act independently of any marker lights.
What is the best way to equip the suits?
I ask because I can't find an optimal build.
I like the idea of twin flamers with farsight when the enemy gets close to your lines.

With magnets, so you can swap out parts as needed.
Putting two guns on your suit gives you a chance at more shots- TL Fusion Blasters can never hit a tank more than once, but two of them gives you the potential to hit twice. Ditto for plasma rifles, doubling up the flamers, etc.
You need to weigh out how many points you want to spend, vs how much fire power you want to put out and how reliably you can make it hit.

The question of TL versus DW (dual wielding) is simple.
DW gives you more firepower-per-point.
TL gives you more bodies-per-point.
Defensive players/hordish player should usually get TL, aggressive/elitist players should usually get DW.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

I prefer two types of weapons personally.
FB/PR are hell great, a 3 man sqquad of those guys will destroy anything they set their sites on. I had one in the latest game.

Take a full bodyguard of 7 guys for farsight.
Give each guy a DW flamer and a stim injector.
Drop them next to a huge guard blob (or tsomething like it) in cover and torch them alive (remember—No scatter!). Automatically Appended Next Post: Give one guy vectored retro thrusters instead of the stim injector.

You know how you have to deploy after ds? And as you are not allowed to fire weapons which use the flame template if they hit friendly models there is only 1 scenario in which you could fire all flamers. Your enemy would have to deploy his 50 model IG-blob in a circle with just enough space to fit your 8 40mm-bases inside but not too wide so you would still hit things with the flamers. How often happens this to you?

I'm running mine with TL BC/ BC and 6 Gun Drones with a Commander with a BC/Airbursting Frag and Drone controller.
Basically all the S5 shots in the world.
Is it as good as the FB/PR set? I dunno... but do I get to model Crisis suits with 3 Burst Cannons on them? YEA, BOI!
(But also, magnets)

As someone who uses Seraphim + Celestine, I'd say stick with a few up front with flamers on the cheap and then put burst cannons on the dudes in the back. The burst cannons will extend the range of damage you can do. Twin link the flamers up front, too. Now you have a true infantry death unit!
(BUT... the IG player sees this coming and doesn't blob!)

Ignoring point costs, having 2 of the same weapon is better than having a single twin-linked version.
Twin-linked Fusion gun at BS3: 1(.5)(.5)=.75 hits on average
2 single Fusion guns at BS3: 2(.5)=1 hit on average.
Not only do you average more hits, but you also have the possibility of more hits than with the single twin-linked gun. And more shots that benefit from markerlights, increasing their efficiency.
So you average 33% more hits with 2 non-twin-linked vs one twin-linked gun, while also doubling the damage potential.
