Pretty much what the title says. What do you guys think the funnest army/build is to play a and against?

While I don't have either army, I feel O&G, followed closely by Skaven, are the most fun armies to play as. Both have a randomness factor that I find very appealing, as well as the ability to make very cool themed lists

Skaven are great fun to play and collect with lots of wacky stuff and different play styles.

You opponent may not think so though

I'd say anything but dwarves really. As far as I know all armies give plenty of choices for a competitive lists, while competitive dwarf is cannon spam and only cannon spam.

I would say any list can be fun if you are interested in thta particular army.

But my Most enjoyable time is with My Lizardmen Multi Stegadon list. It eats infantry.

8000 Dark Angels (No primaris)
10000 Lizardmen (Fantasy I miss you)
3000 High Elves
4000 Kel'shan Ta'u

I'd say demons. The sheer randomness of them is extremely fun!

Orcs & Goblins are a pretty fun army. A lot of randomness. Not to mention, when you think you have it figured out, you'll roll animosity on a lynchpin unit, and all your planning goes out window. Can be frustrating sometimes, but if you can roll with the punches and just laugh at the outcome of your guys doing more damage to themselves than the enemy... Than may be the right bet. (my experience is playing a goblin only army, no stinkin orcs!)

I like an army that is active in all phases of the game, moving, shooting, magic and combat. I want the army to do what I direct it to do which is why I like the LM and hate the silliness of the current demon army.

I'd say Empire. Army can be anything you want? Shooty check. Melee Hordes? Check and can be buffed by virtually any school of magic. Calvary? Check. And I love the models.

Honorable mentions are Skaven and Orcs and Goblins. For reasons everyone has stated better then I could.

I've sold so many armies. :(

And Squigs. Squigs are always fun.

For me I'd have to go Skaven for the sheer randomness and giggles.

I mean what isn't laughable about ratmen running around blowing themselves and their allies up with glowing green fire? Retreatiing from an assault only to charge back in larger numbers...

Skaven Magic and equiptment is also fun to use. The dreaded 13th spell is by far the most fun to use, as it turns a random amount of enemy models into clan rats.
Giggle as your enemies favoured cavalry or troops melt into chittering hostile rats.

Skaven equiptment, weapons, even the beasts are highly unpredictalbe which makes every game a new opportunity to have fun.

It used to be skaven pre 8th ed. Since then I'd say armies with faster movement have a better time with the ruleset.

Orcs and Goblins as many have said, are great fun to play! As well as Skaven. I personally also find Empire to be fun with the many options. Contrary to what many say, I also find Dwarves to be fun! Yeah the castle in the corner may be boring(though I think its great fun to watch enemies scramble across a killing field.) They have a handful of very different, and some quite effective, ways to set up an army. Bugmans Rangers lists, or a Slayer Quarreller combination army, as well the Bolt Thrower crossfire armies, are all fun to play, and add some very interesting aspects in game.

O & G for sure ....then I would have to say a WoC army with Beastmen allies! There is nothing better than to watch your enemy gawk at your horde of blood lusting Gor's and Ungor's charging across the field followed by a mountain of steel with some Minotaurs bringing some pain to the field!

I only have experience with WoC, its a bit dull until the round you get in closecombat and then BAM! you roll a few handful of dice and things get removed.
