you know if you pre-order Airland battle on steam and have European Escalation you get 25% off and beta access?
I think a Cold War era IG army would be intriguing, bu I'm not sure it would be sufficiently different to standard IG.
I can think of some ways to differentiate them. the three things I'm focusing on are guns, headgear, and packs.
As for the Backpacks, though your GS packs are impressive, may I suggest the Forgeworld Cadian upgrade packs. Whilst yours certainly are good, the FW packs have a good deal of detail that IMHO would be hard to pick out with GS.
that's a nice idea, but shipping to the USA will take awhile, so I'd rather make my own packs than wait for some
FW ones.
Oh and as a little bit of inspiration, why don't you possibly convert your Fusiliers to Shock Troopers and use Berets? Just that would help distinguish between helmeted 'US' themed
IG and the Fusiliers a touch more. Or possibly turn that on it's head and use standard
IG with modified lasguns to represent SLR's and Storm-troopers with the Delta Force theme? Of course I leave it to your infinitely better judgement

actually I'm thinking this will be at least three armies, each based around one of the main NATO countries. here's what I've got so far for each type of infantry:
USA:
Basic: Riflemen
Vets: Marines
Stormtroopers: Delta Force
UK:
Basic: Fusiliers
Vets: Royal Marines
Air Vets: Paratroopers
Stromtroopers:
SAS
France:
Basic: Chassures
Vets: RIMa
Stormtroopers: Foreign Legion (not sure about this one)
conscripts: Reservists
West Germany (if I get there)
Basic: HimatSulzen
Mech vets: Panzer Grenadiers
An Intriguing and promising project - Good Luck

thanks, much appreciated.
also I've got some French Troops that I'm just waiting for the right light to photograph, I should have them up soon.
