Here's the start of my Tau force, with some customized units.

Weapons on the broadside are magnetized so i can switch them out.

Where are these bits from? I don't recognize any of them. Then again I just got back into Tau after a 2 year hiatus.

I guarantee you that I'm not really as smart as the test says:

It has Paulson Games stuff mixed in he makes all sorts of cool robot stuff that I also use on my Mechwarrior Dark Age models.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here's an idea that I had for a commander, this is only the weapons he'll still need a lot of conversions done to him. The chest piece will be reworked so it's not as flat and will be more angular like the normal suits. He'll be given jept packs and the legs will be reposistioned so he's in a more upright stance.

Nice, how are his prices? I might just have to order some for myself.

Looking at that broadside makes me wish GW had stuck with back-mounted railguns for the new model, too.

WIP commander, not sure if I like the head or I should go with a metal one from one of my older models.

I love the commander he looks amazing! I would keep the Paulson head if if you are only using that head on the commander.

I'm liking the broadside and the excessive fire power.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

I'll probably be doing the standard Tau ochre pattern for paint.

I really like the look of the back mounted railguns on the broadside. And those bits really make it work.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the rest of your suit projects go

I finally picked up a Riptide and was toying around with some of Paulson Games parts to make it fit alongside my other conversions. Standard weapons look so tiny on the Riptiude so I'm thinking these might be good alternative as larger plasma rifles? Not sure if I want them over the shoulder or mounted under the arms, I think both ways look pretty good. I also love his banners.

Nice now I have to look into those paulson bits, kind of a random and weird question but could you tell me how the riptide pelvis and the broadside pelvis match up size wise? I'm sure the riptide pelvis is larger the question is just how much larger

It's at least 2-3 times larger, the broadside is barely half the height of the Riptide.

Finished converting a crisis suit today that I gave an bunch of extra articulation. Lots of tedious filing and greenstuff to get everything fitted together but I'm very happy with the results.

While priming the parts I managed to drop a foot in the crack behind my work bench so it's gone forever :( I grabbed one from a different suit and I'll need to clean it up a bit more. The Missile launchers were an afterthought and will likewise need some cleaning and priming. I used an auto body primer which is by far the best primer I've ever used, it's very thin and has an amazing finish which is also really tough.

From regular suit to awesome

Here's a shot of the converted torso parts pre-paint. It involved cutting the torso and using a pair of filed down shield generators to make the connection pieces.
