This is a footslogging/big mek army.

1 Big mek with KFF 85 POINTS.
1 Big mek with KFF 85 points.

30 boyz with shootas with nob and powerklaw. 205 points
30 boys with shootas with nob and powerklaw. 205 points
30 boyz with shootas with nob and powerklaw 205 points
30 boyz with shootas with nob and powerklaw 205 poins.

dakka jet 120 points
dakka jet 120 points

3 killa kans with rokkits. 130 points
3 killa kans with rokkits 130 points
3 killa kans with rockits 130 points.

30 gretchin
10 gretchin.

Im running a kan wall but with gretchin in front of the kans. The grots will tie up anything in close combat that will be a threat to the kans. The dakka jets will act like lootas and shoot down light armoured vehicles, walkers and troops. The big meks will sit with the kans to give them cover saves. The kans will have the option to have some grotzookas. The boyz will come and kill the enemy with their sheer numbers. Im planning for the kans to spam the enemy with rokkit shots and/or grotzookas. The gretchin will then give my orks cover saves and tie up things in close combat. If you have any suggestions to my list or tactics then they will be greatly appreciated, bearing in mind this is my first 1500 point list. Thanks

Seems pretty solid but you definitely need to find the points to have bosspoles in those boyz units. I know at 30 Strong the Mob rule will leep them in the fight but they will not stay that number for the entire game. If you only have 7 boyz on an objective that you need to hold to win and they run due to a failed mora test, you will kick yourself for not spending the 5 points to have bosspoles.

just a thought

Drop the rockets on 1 lot of kans and you have 15p for bosspoles.

And those Big Shootas aren't bad at all.

That will be 10points, the big shoota / skorcha is 5p each, you can't take a Killa kan without buying atleast a 5p+ weapon.

As for the list itself looks like fun, just havent had good experience for kanwall myself in sixth eddition, greentide or battlewagon rush tends to work better for me.

I think you will find 3 killa kans with rokkits cost 135 points
I like the 30 Boyz with Shootas with a Nob and powerklaw but you should have 3 Big Shootas in the unit at the very least put 1 on the Nob as any 6+ to hit rolls, so.... 1/2 of them are Precision Shots this is a better use of the 5pts then the bosspole, that said i would still take both.

Phatonic is right about the kanwall sixth eddition, They don't last very long and most of the time explode and kill dozens of boyz also thank to the Precision Shot rule your Big Meks with KFF will die 2 turn or 3 so its good you have taken 2

Sorry if I got the points a bit wrong but I defiantly will find the points for a bosspole.

Honestly, I find PK Nobs unnecessary on Shoota boys.

I'd run three Big Shootas, give one to the Nob along with a bosspole, and maybe a Big Choppa. Dem precision shots and fat dakka.

I also reckon rokkits are kind of crap on kans, but thats just me I guess.

Don't worry to much about the points, when i'm training for a tournament i always play under points not to much like 1500pts list vs 1750pts, just to see how flexible the list is.
In 5ed 1 tournament organizer said Nids are so bad in 5ed that they can have 2000pts in a 1500pts tournament, just so some of the NId players would enter.
If your playing a friendly game with Tau or IG ask them to play 1250pts vs your 1500pts, they will stilll crush you into the ground, but you both will have alot more fun

I agree with Phatonic. kan walls are not like they used to be. now that glancing to death has been introduced they just get destroyed way to easy even with the KFF the kans will take heavy loses. example: your playing against tau you want to protect you boys with a kan wall but what's this the tau fire warrior the basic tau troop has a strength 5 weapon so not only has the ability to glance the kans to death but can blow them up and in the kans blow out five, four inches your going to take loses. me personally I would has about five maybe six trukk boys so then you can be in there faces at turn two. then have two battle wagons with big shootas, deffrolla and all the fun ork stuff and it helps to have some storm boys a squad of about 20 can be trouble for the enemy if they want to shoot you all through the game. this is the list I would bring is

HQ
big mek w/ kff in battle wagon (85)
wazdakka (180)

troops
11 boyz W/ Nob power claw boss pole And trukk ram -152
11 boyz W/ Nob power claw boss pole And trukk ram -152
11 boyz W/ Nob power claw boss pole And trukk ram -152
3 warbikers w/ nob bc pb (95)
3 warbikers w/ nob bc (90) wazdakka with these guys

elites
10 lootas (150)

heavy
battle wagon, rolla, big shoota (115)

fast
2 ace dakka jets + gun (260)

and that leaves you 64 points to play with depending on what else you have around or other upgrades. hope I helped

Wazdakka? Really?

Also those three squads of bikes are gonna run like hell after taking one casualty. The bosspole gives them a chance to stay, but kills 33% of the squad to do so.

Maybe take them in a bigger blob? The Nobs could probably be dropped then since Waz has a BP and PK (iirc). Seven or eight bikers with Waz is much better than 6 bikers with two nob upgrades IMO

This is almost completely identical to the "friendly" 1500 pt list I am constructing. Three battlewagons full of boys, two KFF big meks for a super bubble, TONS of big shootas ( i take 3 on the wagons) and then dakka jets overhead ( I take one burna bommer for fluff reasons but I have modeled it with magnets to be either jet variant). I also have the big meks with a burna for some anti-charge oomph. Remember that they can snap fire out of the open topped battlewagons if it gets charged (iirc) which is pretty gross. And while they roll around, having 4-5 big shootas + shootas + dakka jets overhead is just a wall of bullets. It might not be the strongest, but damn it's a lot of dice and it's pretty fun, which ultimately is the point of this game, and Orks.

Also, how are you able to give the Nob a big shoota? Doesn't an Ork Boy have to take the upgrade? You would convert the boy to a nob therefore restricting his ability to take the big shoota. Did they FAQ this? Maybe I missed something.

Thats cuz every competitive Ork list looks more or less the same mate.

Theres something in the wording for the boys mob that doesn't disallow you from upgrading a boy with a big shoota to be the one that becomes a Nob. Don't have the codex on me now to check.

I'd suggest ditching the Battlewagons for Nob Bikers in the above list. Mainly because OP has biker models.
