This happened the other day in a game.

My plasma vets unloaded onto a unit of 2 obliteraters. Killed 1 wounded the other.

Next turn it heavy flamer'd my unit, killing all but one plasma gun. Who held. Charge failed.


My turn, plasma gun rapid fire.

Shot one: Hit, wound, kill.
Shot two: gets hot, dead guardsman.

Who gets first blood? Both of us?

If two or more units from opposing forces
are removed simultaneously (for example, atthesame Initiative
step inan Assault phase) then both players get 1Victory Point (in

But to anwser your question, all shooting is resolved at the same time. So you both get it.

Argubably the Chaos player should get first blood, because the order goes

roll to hit
roll to wound
saving throws (if applicable)
remove casaulties

the vets take a wound during the roll to hit phase, where as you still have to roll to wound and saving throws for the oblits, so the vets would take their armour save first. Of course I may just be muddying the issue...

and here I thought we were going to have 2 characters killing each other with powerfists, but no guardsmen and plasmaguns.
