So, I've found myself in the possession of a Freelancer Knight, which inspired me to do some digging on the game of Mordheim. As you might imagine, the game has sparked my interest. Specifically Marienburg Mercenaries.
My question is, how would one go about finding models for this game, and what are some ideal lists for this warband in a campaign?

Well, GW is canning it's specialist games line, so if you want Mordheim models you'll need to either grab em fast or get them off ebay or similar.
Fortunately, if you're playing human mercs, the warband is primarily made up of the same models as the empire Free Company/Militia models, so you'll still be able to get hold of those.

Free Company are the original mordheim human sprues. State troops and archers can also be used and look a bit more Marienburg-ey. Forge World also has some Marienburg dudes.
A lot of the models can be found off of ebay and you can order some blisters still off of the GW website. The rare models are the captain with two pistols and the champion with two swords. You should be able to find plenty of peg-leg-flail champions and captain w/sword and shield. The youngbloods come around fairly often on ebay as well.

Hm, I was unaware of the fact that the free company models were the same as the models used for the Mercs, and I have seen some archer conversions that look pretty neat, so that makes things much easier for collecting. Now I'll just need to scour ebay for a captain and some youngbloods, since both are now unavailable on the GW website
Thanks for the pointers

Yes, I'd say that Mordheim is one of the games largely unaffected by the decision to stop selling the specific specialist miniatures.
The current Fantasy range is more than adequate for Mordheim minis and was anyone not using them already?
The only Warband where you will struggle to find decent proxies is Sisters of Sigmar.
